Why do we have to look really hard to find good?
What has taken away the virtues of people these days?
How can we regain them?

Do you think it would be possible - assuming you believe in GOD, - for him to create a puzzle so difficult that he couldn't solve it no matter how hard he tried?

[I do realize that by using the words "himself", and "he" is imposing gender limitations on the almighty, unfortunately I've been socialized in misogynistic, male dominant American society ]

This question just popped into my head earlier, and I asked myself it. Just curious now to see what other would say.
And, to make this question fair, I'll post mine. It would be that I took life for granted and didn't live it to the fullest.

Just so that this doesn't get too serious...I'd also regret not eating more hot fudge sundaes. : )

I see it everywhere. If I even mention taht I am an atheist to peopel I come in contact with, I am immediately shunned and treated as if I have a disease. It is sad that we are being singled out and put down because we are freethinkers who dont have the same opinion on something that is UNKNOWABLE AND UNPROVABLE! When asked whether they would live next to an extremist Muslim, or an atheist, most people chose the Muslim. in fact, atheists are the least trusted minority in the United States. This study even says, and I quote, "Americans rate atheists below Muslims, recent immigrants, gays and lesbians". Why?

According to a man named Theodore Jennings certain parts of the gospel of John show that Jesus had a homosexual relationship.

Is this wrong?

A Christian doctor might say, "Maybe God is calling him, I should let him die"

An Atheist doctor might say, I" have to save his one and only life"

A Christian doctor might say, "If it's his time, it's his time. I refuse to interfere

An Atheist doctor might say, "It's up to me if this guy lives or dies. I must save him.

A Christian doctor might say, Maybe praying will work better..

An Atheist doctor might say, There has to be a way to save his life

Moses gets his tablets, reads the commandments (Exodus 20:2-17) breaks the tablets and a few days later gets new commandments. God tells Moses they are the same commandments ("hew thee two tablets of stone like unto the first, and I will write upon them the words that were on the first tablets")

Yet the second set of commandments (Exodus 34:14-26) are different from the first. The second ones seem to be the real ones, because as it is written: ""And he wrote upon the tables the words of the covenant, the ten commandments." (Exodus 34:28)"

Anybody who can help me on this, because i don't get it.

Second little question, can anybody explain to me the tenth commandment "Thou shalt not seethe a kid in his mother's milk" ?
I always assumed it was "Don't covet your neighbor's wife and property". That one was easy for me, my neighbour is 88 years old. But the one occording to Exodus 34, i truly don't understand.

Time and time again I find myself in a conflict with others who laugh at me for having a code of ethics. I am not saying im perfect and I have broken my share of rules its just I'm the type of person who if they found a million dollars in a briefcase I would return it. I am laughed at for this and told my ideals are way out of date.

Given that there's no empirical evidence as to the existence or nonexistence of God, a supreme, ineffable and indescribably complex being, doesn't Occam's razor mean that by far the most reasonable assumption is his nonexistence?

Keep in mind that although this may be a nonissue to some, who may consider themselves to have proof of God's existence in the form of miracles or the Bible, but this does not, of course, apply to me.

I look forward to reading your responses.

Spirits are not physical entities.
Brains are physical entities.
Past experiences are stored in our physical brains, we call that, Memory.
Injury can damage portions of the physical brain that store memory and can alter or erase memories completely.

If human spirits exist... after death, spirits can have no memory. right?
