yes, sometimes He does. but He doesn't lead us directly into it. allowing something to happen and leading someone into the situation is different. if you are in a tempting situation you can ask God to deliver/remove you from it and He will.

Yes.
Revelation 2:10 “Do not be afraid of the things you are about to suffer. Look! The Devil will keep on throwing some of you into prison that you may be fully put to the test, and that you may have tribulation ten days. Prove yourself faithful even to death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
1 Corinthians 10:12-13 “Consequently let him that thinks he is standing beware that he does not fall. No temptation has taken you except what is common to men. But God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear, but along with the temptation he will also make the way out in order for you to be able to endure it.”

If you look at the account in Job...God did not temp Job. 1:1-5
Satan is questioning God as to why Job worshiped him. 1:6-12: 2:1-8
This account show us that imperfect men can worship God under any trial and keep their integrity. 1:13-2; 2:9-26:14
Satan challenged God's right to rule much as he, Satan did in the Garden of Eden. Genesis 3:1-5
Job, like Christ proved that men can keep their integrity "if" they develop a good relationship with God and sever God for the right reasons. Job 36-42:14
Those reasons being...God is the Sovereign of the Universe and has the right to tell His creation how to live. Genesis 1:1

The best translation says, "Do not let us enter into temptation." God doesn't tempt anyone. God only leads towards truth, light, and life.

In the Old Testament we have extreme cases to give us God's mindset on certain subjects. In Job's case he was an honorabe man where God removed a hedge of protection from Job. So we know from that God protects us from satan's attacks. I personnally believe that when we wilfully sin we lose some of that protective hedge. And that is one of the reasons for the ten commandments. The more the USA gets away from the ten commandments the more hedge we lose.So let us not lose any more hedge, thank you!!!!

Was not Jesus tempted??
Yes we are all tempted because of sin nature. But we can chose to do the right thing although it might be hard but it is a test we must pass. I believe He likes to watch His children pass the tests of satan.
Go with God and Be Blessed!!!

Yes, it's one of His tests. Just like he did with Job and Abraham, God gave tests to those in the Bible as examples to us that we should follow Him. Though the tests we get may not be as extreme as those Job and Abe got, we still must avoid temptation and follow God (according to the Bible, not trying to push beliefs on anyone) in all circumstances.
