Please only answer if you have actually read the Constitution. In truth the constitution demands that religion have freedom from Government interference. What has caused people to believe the opposite of what it actually says? Take special note of the "free excercise" clause. The first amendment reads as follows:
Amendment I

Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

As I was saying.., or asking.., why is it when Christians tell the truth even to one's hurt (not covering for someone) we are berated and hated - BUT - when the world ASSUMES (wrongly) we are telling lies, we are still berated and hated?

YET Society admits it is wrong to lie, but they lie in contradiction to their own secular state of morality and these assume everyone lies as well - even dictating what constitutes a lie. Is it because they are expert liars they feel comfortable with establishing what constitutes white lies? speaking as of which, what is an extreme lie? Black lie? Red lie? Purple?

Something is awful whack about the whole thing secular hypocrisy.

So which is the correct version of this fable?

The order in Genesis 1:
Day 1: Sky, Earth, light
Day 2: Water, both in ocean basins and above the sky(!)
Day 3: Plants
Day 4: Sun, Moon, stars
Day 5: Sea monsters (whales), fish, birds, land animals
Day 6: Humans (apparently both sexes at the same time)
Day 7: Nothing (the Gods took the first day off)

*Note that there are days, evenings and mornings before the Sun was created!

The second one, Genesis 2:
1.Earth and heavens (misty)
2.Adam, the first man (on a desolate Earth)
3.Plants
4.Animals
5.Eve, the first woman (from Adam's rib)

I'd like someone to prove to me that their god exist, since the burden of proof is on the claimant. Rules; This could be any god that has been claimed throughout history, not just the christian god. Just "believing" or "having faith" will not be accepted as proof, since all it amounts to is an opinion, nor will any books(bible/koran) written by human beings, also opinion. The compexity of human life, or the vastness of the universe will not be accepted as proof. Belief, books, and life itself are not proof of a god, unless you "believe" it is. If you think wishing works, then good luck.

God’s flesh was known as Jesus.
Jesus, God's Flesh, died at the cross.
Flesh & Blood cannot enter into Heaven per (1 Cor. 15:50-56)
Jesus was Flesh.
Jesus no longer exists

Jesus is called Jesus because of the attribute of Flesh.

If Jesus = God (who is spirit) then the entity known as Jesus ceases to exist. The flesh/body of Jesus, no longer exists and the spirit of God is still the unchanging spirit of God. No Jesus at that point. The Flesh, called Jesus, is dead.

Everything you say has a flaw in it So did Jesus have to die on the cross to protect us from his dad(God)what was he planning for us if his son hadn't have died?Would God have killed us all?If so why? I thought he was forgiving. The more I look at thi the more confused I become. If you answer this explain your answer logically not just saying "he died for our sins" I dont get it expain it to me like I'm from out of space

or suppose maybe your child was kidnapped. wouldn't you then get on your knees and pray? all i'm saying is that we are usually unable to prevent tragedy entering our lives. why not realise that you will need Him some day, at some point, and show some respect, dont store up trouble for yourself by biting the hand that feeds you.

does it not make sense?

or are you sure it wouldnt make sense in one of the scenarios i listed above.

(a) People who consider themselves to be christians by reading the bible inside-out and who then feel obliged to dictate its message to others (like many of the people here on Yahoo Answers), and who can recite psalms until they're blue in the face?
~or~
(b) Someone like ME, who doesn't follow a religion (I don't need another label thanks), but who works hard to do well in life, help others, and appreciate every day that I am alive?

Why would god bother to have created all that he did. It can't have been to test us because we weren't created. If he just wanted souls in heaven, why not just make them and not bother with all the problems that goes with humanity

It is generally known that the Earth was, at one time, one big continent with one ocean. Over billions of years, it has eroded, separated and drifted to form the seven continents (as well as the thousands of islands) we have today.

Does the bible support this idea?

Do people of faith really believe that God wrote the Bible. That is simply came down on a cloud from heaven. Or did humans write the bible, having been "inspired" by God.

its not wise, you know, to go through life slandering the name of Jesus, since you will need Him one day. dont you know that a time will come when you will need to call on His name? it could be in the time of a serious accident, when your life's in danger or threatened, or maybe you need rescuing from someone or something. this is not meant to be threatening or blackmailing, but its just not wise i don't think, when we will all come to a point of need at some stage. we are all mortal, you know.

Why is it when somebody posts a controversial question (especially re: religion) the people that claim they are so "religious" always have the most negative answers and comments? I thought most religions teach you to be respectful, understanding, and humane? Of course non-religious ppl leave rude comments but I notice its mostly the otjer way around.

Ex of comments left by those oh-so-religious ppl:
"God doesn't let homeless black ppl live in my church because they have AIDS and would turn it into a crack house."

"If you would get an education you would obviously understand english and be able to read the bible"

"You r going to burn in hell for not going to church"

"What a poor pathetic person u are for not being religious"

etc etc...just read any religious question.
