Proverbs 2:1-5 “My son, if you will receive my sayings and treasure up my own commandments with yourself, so as to pay attention to wisdom with your ear, that you may incline your heart to discernment; if, moreover, you call out for understanding itself and you give forth your voice for discernment itself, if you keep seeking for it as for silver, and as for hid treasures you keep searching for it, in that case you will understand the fear of Jehovah, and you will find the very knowledge of God.”
Proverbs 3:5-6 “Trust in Jehovah with all your heart and do not lean upon your own understanding. In all your ways take notice of him, and he himself will make your paths straight.”
Romans 12:12 “Persevere in prayer.”
1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray incessantly.”
Psalm 1:1-3 “Happy is the man [whose] delight is in the law of Jehovah, And in his law he reads in an undertone day and night. And he will certainly become like a tree planted by streams of water, That gives its own fruit in its season And the foliage of which does not wither, And everything he does will succeed.”

Ask God to help you trust Him more. Plus do what the Jesus says, like do not worry about tomorrow (matthew 6:34). Know that God will never leave you forsake you(hebrews 13:5), know that if you ask in jesus name you shall receive(john 14:13-14), know that God even said to test him with tithing(malachi 3:10-11) understand that God is obligated to do these thing and more that is mentioned in the Bible no only will you grow in trust but in faith and relationship. God is in control and he loves you. look at what God has provided for the people in the bible. If he notices a sparrow most definatedly he cares for you and your wellbeing

Faith is believing what a normal rational person would not otherwise believe in... if you believe and it helps you to pass the day, then continue to believe and live life to it's fullest.
How can you trust more... as in if God is looking out for you? Try flying off a five story building and if there is a God and he wants you to live, then an open-top truck filled with mattress will happen to be driving by and you'll be saved by the mattresses. If God isn't with you at the moment, then we're talking a big cleanup for the sanitation department later today...

When I left home and faced the realities of the world,
I put my thoughts of God in cold storage for awhile,
because I couldn’t reconcile what I believed,
deep inside, with what was going on around me.
But that early period, when God was
as real as the wind that blew from the sea
through the pine trees in the garden;
left me with inner peace, which, as I grew older, swelled –
until, perforce, I had to open my mind to God again.
Jane Goodall
I could not say I believe. I know!
I have had the experience of being
gripped by something that is stronger than myself,
something that people call God.

I firmly believe that faith is believing and trusting when you have no reason to. I have a sign on my dresser that says, "When you come to the edge of all the light you have known and are about to step into the darkness, FAITH is knowing that one of two things will happen... you will be given something to stand on or you will be taught how to fly." It may seem impossible, but even without knowing you I am sure that you are stronger than you think. Whatever you are going through will get easier eventually. Best wishes.

Faith is the key here, look up the definition.. Trusting God and learning faith does not happen overnight. Sure it is easy to say but true faith depends on much enlightenment. This comes by seeking knowldge.. Read proverbs over and over again.. Remembering that the dummer we are the smarter we can become.. Good Luck my friend

You can grow in your trust by being a "doer" of his Word. Then as you walk in faith and He comes through for you, you will gain life experiences that will grow your trust.
One word of caution however. Many times people who don't understand God's Word in it's whole context have fallen from their faith because they took a passage out of context and then when God "didn't come through" for them, they felt betrayed.
One simple example comes from reading this verse.
John 14:13 And whatever you may ask in My name, this I will do, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you should ask anything in My name, I will do it.
If people are not aware of this modifying passage they can pray for all sorts of things and wonder why God didn't grant their requests.
1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have toward Him, that if we should ask anything according to His will, He hears us. 15 And if we know that He hears us, whatever we may ask, we know that we have the requests that we have requested from Him.
In other words, when you pray in Jesus' name, you have to be praying for something that is in God's will. It's like if someone was using your name as a reason why someone else should grant their request, but the person they were talking to knew you very well and knew that what they were asking for went against your character. They wouldn't believe that you had told that person to ask them for what was being asked.

God gave you free will for a reason. God does not control your life nor will God make decisions for you. You don't need to trust him, you need to believe in him. Trusting him would assume he plays a role in life, if that were true, we would not have free will.

Jesus said that if we have faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains. Put all of your life in the Lord's hands. Pray to him and read your Bible. Know that he can do anything. I'm trying to follow this advice, and I am begininning to trust God more.

Think of it like this. God is our Heavenly Father. How would you trust your Dad more? You would talk to him...consult him on problems, etc. I don't really see much of a difference in trusting your Dad and trusting your Heavenly Father.
