I'm Christian and am looking for a good daily devotional or study book for women. I'm a stay-at-home mome of 2, so anything to do with mothering is fine too.

A Thirty Day Walk Through the Psalms by Nancy Leigh DeMoss is great ... it has a Psalm to study each day to get you into the habit of a daily quiet time.

Streams in the Desert is also a great one, especially if you are going through any trying times.

Look on the Free Stuff page of my site @ http://web.express56.com/~bromar/ and I think you will find a couple of items that will fit your needs.

The first one that comes to mind is near the bottom of the page and it has this text to identify the link.

Back to the Bible Daily Devotionals Including: Streams in the Desert, Morning & Evening, Joy & Strength, Hymns & Psalms.

You can find many good devotionals. Morning and Evening. Knowing God by J.I. Packer. Or you could study the prayers of the puritans. A good one there is The Valley of Vision.

My suggestion if you are looking to really grow try and find a BSF womens group in your area. (Bible Study Fellowship). They will keep you in the word daily and that was when I really saw my wife change and grow in her walk with God.

Read Chicken Soup for the Mother's Soul. It is not a devotional but it is filled with stories that you can use to your benefit.

I highly recommend the Authorized Version, aka the King James Bible. Jesus said, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Matthew 18 : 20) It doesn't get much better than that!

Consider Jesus Christ. Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
