From the moment our heart began to beat within our mother's womb, we steped into eternity. Our bodies are only a vessel that carries us while on earth. But when our bodies die, where will our spirit spend the rest of eternity? Two choices - Heaven or Hell.

There's only one way to enter the kingdom of Heaven and that's by accepting Jesus Christ as Lord of your life; not by being a good person, by going to church on Sundays, or by giving to the poor. Unfortunatley, Hell will be full of people who have done good things, but never accepted Jesus.

Some may take this lightly or as a joke, but your eternity (that's forever) is nothing to joke about.

John 14:6 Jesus said I am the way, life & truth, no man comes to God except by me.

Romans 3:23 - Everyone has sinned

Romans 6:23 - the penatly for sin is death (hell) but the gift of God is eternal life (Heaven)

Romans 10:9 - if you confess Jesus with your mouth and beleive in your heart you will be saved (from hell)

When I was about 8 or 9 years old in the 80's, I was playing by myself in my grandparent's yard in the country (I was an only child). I remember standing looking out toward the road, when this transparent man was floating about a foot above me. He looked like the pictures of Jesus in robes you see in paintings. Though, I don't know if it actually was Jesus or not. He put both his hands on top of my head. I don't remember him saying anything. Then, of course, being little I ran screaming to my grandmother in the house. I don't remember ever seeing it again after that.

I know this sounds like a strange thing. But does anyone have any ideas on what this was? Did it happen to anyone else?

The average Christian family has 2.7 kids.

Gay marriage seems to be wrong because gay people only make love for pleasure, not for making babies.

According to my math that would mean that Christians make love 2.7 times in each lifetime? All the other times would be for pleasure, right ?

I found some fungai filled mud yesterday and figured " this is it ". I wanted to hear some music and ran an electric charge over the mud, dumped a protein based solution in and asked for ANYONE to jump out of that goo and play me Nocturne in C sharp Minor.Nothing happened! What did I do wrong ? I compromised and asked for " Fer alyce " and nothing! Did I offend some amoeba ? I settled for " Boogey woogie blues " and still Nada'! I took my violin to the zoo and offered free lessons to any gorilla or monkey. NOT ONE TAKER! One of them kinda plucked at it a little but still nothing. Is it my approach or my demeanor ? I asked nicely. I moved on over to the fish tanks and reptile section and just asked for a simple back rub. Nothing.Do you think they sense Im a fish eater and are resentful? I mean Id be mad to if I found I char- grilled my cousins or something. Am I in need of a carbon based additive to in the fungai stuff to at least get someone to evolve out and sing Moriah Carey ?

Wasn't the original sin eating the forbidden fruit?

Why have I heard it referred to as sex, and that all of us our born under original sin because our parent's had sex? Did I get bad information, am I misinterpreting something, or what?

I am just wondering what the word "thy" means. I was think it means "the", but 'the" is mentiined in the Bible to.

I am referring to the King James version of the Bible.

I broke up with my girlfriend almost a year ago. I don't have a new girlfriend or any other friends for that matter. I go to AA meetings regularly, but haven't made any friends there that weren't also her friends.

I hate being so lonely all the time. A long weekend is coming and I dread being all alone for four days.

If god loves me, why does he want me to be so lonely?
