Is that when Jesus looked at Jerusalem and wept? He was weeping because he knew he was going to die (even though he didn't want to) and that one day Jerusalem would be destroyed along with its temple.

To weep with those who weep is an important concept of expressing empathy toward others. The passage stating that Jesus wept was not only a following of this concept, but the model for it. If one cannot feel what ones fellow (wo)man is going through, you cannot fulfill one of the greatest commandments, which is to love your neighbor as you would yourself.

As far as "Jesus Wept" relating to Matthew 5:13 I'd say it is a stretch to try to relate the two passages. You could try to say Jesus weeps for the lost but I say that is a hard *** interpretation. I think it vastly more functional to realize a mature soul like Jesus would have faith that all souls will eventually find their way back to the light.

Jesus wept or “Jesus gave way to tears.” Those few words speak volumes about Jesus’ humanity, his compassion, his feelings. Even though fully aware of the resurrection hope, “Jesus wept.” (John 11:35, King James Version) The account continues by saying that onlookers commented: “See, what affection he used to have for [Lazarus]!” Certainly, if the perfect man Jesus wept at the loss of a friend, it is no shame if a man or a woman mourns and weeps today.—John 11:36.

Matthew 5:13 states "Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under the foot of men," which I believes means that you cannot be a good example if you make bad choices and it promotes against hypocrites. "Jesus wept." is found at John 11:35, He wept because of Lazarus, His friend, the brother of Mary and Martha, death. It was as He mourned for the loss of Lazarus and because of the love for His friend. This event took place right before He raised Lazarus from the dead.

i do no longer remember on "a god" or gods both yet that would not propose i'm an atheist. To me, God is an unlimited Presence, there is nowhere the position he's not, hence the Cosmic recommendations, or Cosmic knowledge, is all there is, and that is interior of this known substance that all exists, considered and unseen. God is existence. The information of God is that you're alive and respiratory contained in the cosmic energies which keep up the actual sort, or you'd be functioning in a finer airy sort in a realm previous our actual Earth. there's a false impression about what faith is. To remember on God, or existence, does no longer propose you're blindly following what you do not comprehend. It skill more desirable than that. faith is an comprehend-how that what you carry consciously earlier your recommendations, a psychological image, will turn on the known knowledge to commence bringing about the options and technique of outpicturing the image held on your recommendations. it really is our "imagination" and how we are made in a lifeless ringer for God, or existence. existence is knowledge and consistent imagination! and also you're existence. this is information sufficient, for certain. Oh, and through the way, i do not connect the conception of heaven and hell as places. they're states of recommendations. you stay in and through your recommendations and they are frequently gloriously expansive or self-unfavourable, that is as a lot as you for you've free will to go back to a decision your course in existence. besides the actual incontrovertible reality that you'll no longer continually manage to administration the activities that come into your existence, you could administration the way you react to them and stumble on the fashion to work out the better purpose to our existence. each of the desirable to you.

In that verse it talks about not losing your salt because how can you be salty again...to me in context talks about not losing the spirit of who you are in Christ. It can mean so many things to each individual. For me it means to Love God, love others as I would myself, and to stand up for what I believe, live by it and love life. People will mock and test your waters to see if you are what you are. In other words don't lose the intensity due to man coming down on you.
