With me, for some odd reason, it's office supply stores...I see all those pens, note pads, file boxes etc. and the next thing I know I'm out in the street with a bag full of stuff. Where do you do most of your impulse buying?

an article on bbc reports that womens' keyboards harboring "far more germs" than their male counterparts, and three to four times more germs on and around their desk. why? because of how much more food they keep around than men. the main researcher said: "I was really surprised how much food there was in a woman's desk."

"If there's ever a famine, that's the first place I'll look for food."

is anyone surpised by this

"why do American people always have such nice teeth?" and why do American people always ask "why do British people have such bad teeth?".

Enough with this stereotype. Some British people have bad teeth and some have good teeth, and likewise some American people have bad teeth and some have good teeth!! Just because American TV programmes are full of people with nice teeth does not mean you can generalise to an entire population.

Nearly every countries crime problem seems to be in the inner citys. Why is this? Is this because that's where all the immigrants are sent to live? Also, do you think it's now starting to move out of the inner citys and in to the suburbs.

Where i live in liverpool, uk there has always been a bad crime problem in the inner city areas, but in the last 2-3 years, the suburbs is where all the gun crime is at now. Crime in the suburbs is out of control at the moment and yet it's rare you hear of a shooting in the inner citys these days. The weird thing is though, is that tons more immigrants seem to be moving into the inner citys, yet you would be lucky to see a non-white person in the suburbs.

What do you think?

In an age where anything and everything is only a touch of a button away, does this lead to an increase in the decline of a moralistic society? The internet for all of its good can show harrowing things to anyone who wants to see it, including children (parental controls are not full proof, Mtv may seem harmless but when music videos are becoming evermore like soft porn, and the lyrics to pop songs include lines like "make my panties drop" {C. Aguilera}, protection of young ears and eyes is not always possible)

Is it any coincidence that society in the 1950's and before (a time before mass tv consumption and a time before the internet) appears to be more pure and straighforward than society today, or do we sometimes have a tendency to view the past through rose tinted glasses. Should media be censored again to bring about a more pure sense of morals or should we realise that the world is a bad place?

for example
If people were more lazy there would be less c02 emissions
If people were more lazy there would be less wars
If people were more lazy there would be less stress
If people were more lazy there would be less hate

what is wrong with increasing general public lazyness for those who are thus inclined, and leaving the busy people to carry on rushing around as they wish ?
