I got to hear about one book. That book was about how to create happiness..The core idea is `combination of Western psychology and Asian philosophy. I have not read about this book yet. What do you think about this combination?

I have come to the theory that people simply believe in a higher power because they cannot except the fact that they are here for no purpose, is it so hard to beleive that we simply evolved and that we are our own masters? It makes death so much easier to believe we will go somewhere when we die, so people cling to the idea that there is some greater purpose for them. The simple reason religeon was created was because it gave us purpose, it gave us something to protect, to die for, how many people do you think would sacrifice themselves in war if they knew that once they died that was it? Is it at all a possibility that religeon was created? What is the easiest way to scare someone into doing good? By telling them if they dont then tehy spend eternity in hell, isnt that what the church once said?

What's the point?

Why bother with "Asian Pride" or "Black pride" or whatever statement about pride out there?

It's like saying "OMG ORANGES ARE THE BEST APPLES SUCK" just because something's different.

Some people argue that "You will always end up where you came from." That's nice in novels, but in this case, that only aplies to people who doesn't want to interact with other people because they don't have the same racial origin.
