Do you drink pre ground bargain coffee or are you like me and grind your own beans every morning. Also do you buy whatever is cheapest on the shelf at the local grogery or do you buy you fresh beans at StarBucks and grind them at home? My son says that I have turned making my morning coffee into a "ritual"!! Any other fanatics out there?

I believe that we've mis-labeled the problem. Just because the earth is warming now doesn't mean that the end result is just heat, and I believe people are mislead by the name. Global climat destabliziation would be my choice. Now what do you think about Global warming as a name for this problem?

My mother has been diagnosed with both Alzheimers and Epilepsy, after 55 years of good health.

Recently her behaviour has become erratic and she has, on occassion, been aggressive towards both myself and my father. Of course this is a part of her condition and the side-effects of the medication so she is not to blame; I asked my father if he would ever consider leaving her to put her in a care home, and this is the answer her gave:

'I'd feel the same about leaving your mother in a care home as I would about driving off and leaving Casper (our cat) in the woods; guilt would tear me apart, and I'd spend the rest of my days wondering what became of them,'

Whilst I understand his sentiment, would you say the analogy was a accurate?

I highlight that both of parents have my full support and love.

Thanks!

I personally think the best charity is the little difference you can make to another individual's life, by actually being part of the action, as opposed to giving it to the big multinational organisations who many of us rely on to do the deed for us.

I know that many people say they don't have time to go overseas and help, but we're forgetting there are the homeless in our own countries. Our neighbours and our community. Many of us are tied down to working, generating wealth for 'our children' and to support their future, but if such a mentality persists as it already has, those who are born into unfortunate circumstances are part of an ever-breeding, perpetuating circle of poverty.

So what are YOUR thoughts on charity? What have YOU done to make a difference?

Next time you see elderly people in your suburb, passing by you in the early hours of the morning when you're making your way to work, maybe a simple 'hello' may make someone's day much brighter.

Peace.

I see this all the time. I see it in femininsm. I see it in political talk about what people THINK is going on in the world. I see it in science conversations, even religious talk. People will just start citing information from books, written literature, as the absolute facts and truth just because they read it and trust the sources. They procede to call those who haven't read it, dumb, wrong, and beneath them, and continue to feel, as though they're right.

Some will even show them something in reality that proves what they say they read is wrong, but they still dismiss even what happens right before their eyes.

Why do people do this? Why do so many people follow written information & believe in it, even call it fact, when they truly have no real proof in the accusations they make? What ever happened to true logic, like actually going beyond someone elses written statistics to find the facts yourself without jaded perception? What ever happened to REALLY looking for answers?

Hi, I have been working on the net for over 7 years now, and I have had some good ideas, but never was quick enough to develp them. The second life option we were "talking about" in our office 6 years ago, but we had no funds to develop it. The YOUTUBE idea was discussed 3 years ago, but due to busy scheduling and a no-risk approach, we did not continue on this.

Since, I have retired, eventhough I am in the low forties, and I have made tme to see what I can do. Can you share with me what YOU think wil be the next best & hottest thing on the net?

Just wanted some advise,we had an argument about one of her children the other day,the family are well known for thinking they are a law unto themselves, anyway yesterday her adult daughter acosted my 16 year old in the street. I could ignore it and hope it will go away but ever since we have lived here they seem to have taken objestion to us. I know that this will not go away, they are that kind of family, I am tempted to call the police and ask them to have a word but I am concerned that it will make matters worse, what do you think?
