I'm Hawaiian and was born and raised in hawaii. I was raised with the "Aloha Spirit" and hawaiian philosophy of taking care of eachother, always give from the heart and love one another. For example, If we were to meet I'd probably hug you and treat you like family the moment we meet. No matter your race, if your rich or poor, it doesn't matter, you'll have my respect and love. I'd introduce you to my family and when you come to my house you are very welcome. My home is your home. We give from the heart even if we don't have much our selves. Here in hawaii we treat eachother like family and call those we dont even know aunty or uncle or Tutu (grandparent) to show our aloha and respect. It's like everyone here is a family. This spirit is very strong. But when I go to the mainland people think I'm crazy and too nice. This is how I've been raised and know no other way to be. Would this be unusual if you met someone like me? What would you think? Is it a good thing or bad?
