I'm writing a paper on why the "Drive-Thru" is an American Icon. I'm supposed to find qualities it embodies......thanks!

Americans are lazy and they want to quickly get their food. The drive thru is supposed to save time for us. Maybe other countries don't have enough money to pay for the gas to wait in the drive thru line.

Well it's there to support the American obsession with the automobile. You never leave your car at the drive through. It's about speed and we like things done quickly. The signs etc. are always bright and reflect the current visual standards of the day.
