do you think a gay couple have this right to take care of kids?
Many people think it isn't good to the kid's growing because she would to stand much prejudice! the other disadvantage is the fact that the kid couldn't have the mother figure and the father figure. But ...which is worse, to leave the kids without family? Let's discuss...

I had to write a paper about this is my sociology class.

Well there have been no confirmative studies that show that children raised by a homosexual couple show a certain pattern of behavior as apposed to children raised by a heterosexual couple.

But if people are concerned that two women/men should not raise a child based on the fact that they lack a mother/father figure then what about single mothers or single fathers? There are rarely any complaints about that. And what about children in an upper class that still have both parents but are raised by a nanny, someone who is not biologically related to them. There are also rarely any complaints about that.

I think good parents should adopt children. Regardless of sexual preference.

From a straight parent:

I think if a person who wants to love, house, feed, clothe, parent, guide, educate, provide stability, security & an important sense of family to an otherwise unwanted child for the remainder of that childs life; his/her sexuality should not be the sole determining factor. Being gay does not make one a pediphile!!!

For those of you who say "only straight people" can adopt - have you not heard the horror stories of "the straight" parents beating, starving, abusing those kids? I knew an adopted girl in my school who carried a secret for years - that her adopted father was molesting her. To see their family, you would have NEVER known. And this happens with biological children as well.

As for the "god created man and woman to procreate" stance - these children are already here. Why not allow someone to give them a real chance at life? Is YOUR hatred, judgment & opinion more important than that childs chance? Are YOU willing to do for these kids what these people are?

Can't we all just get along???

There's nothing wrong with it. So there's two people of the same sex with a child. Big freakin' deal. I don't understand why people have such a problem with that. It's the twenty first century. People need to open their eyes to modern reality. The mother-father role figure thing is crap. Do you know how many men-women marriages fall apart in a year? Yeah, that's definitely a reassuring guideline.

Why don't people think about how divorce affects children?

I think because the child is young that he has no chance to experience what is defined as the typical american family..mother - father - child.

I dont think gay couples should bring children into the picture......it only causes confusion. I also believe that just because it's the 20th century and we are living in modern times is not an excuse to accept things that were not acceptable 2000 years ago. yeah, we are living in modern times but the bible has never changed. Its the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Its we humans that change and then try to justify it based on what a small majority of people believe. People have been sleeping with little kids since the beginning of time but you dont see me saying - "its modern times, get with the program people!!" - DONT THINK SO. Trips me out, every other sin identified in the bible is wrong EXCEPT being gay..........wonder why that is? Because if you can get enough people to twist something around to make it seem acceptable, then it is - Oh, yeah - thats exactly what SATAN is doing........shoot and I thought I was on to something.

i'm professional-selection yet i be attentive to that there are distinctive little ones on waiting lists in foster amenities or orphanages. a lot of them isn't probably accompanied and it breaks my coronary heart. I actual help gay couples adopting those little ones somewhat than those little ones in no way understanding what's to have the affection of a determine. i think of professional-lifers might selection on those themes as no longer all professional-lifers are anti-gay or homophobic. i think of there are a number of professional-lifers that could desire to somewhat have a gay couple than see a woman having an abortion.

took years to even get close to getting over that.But
I don't think its bad to let them adopt.
children who need to be adopted should be adopted
theres to much prejudice in this world
BUT the straight folks should be given children over gays.but if a child is in a home and needs parents and they know whats in store for them.that there future parents are gays . then yes ,it depend s on the people involved. there should be thought put into it.to do the best for the child,so he are she may have a home.

I believe that every child deserves to be loved. Whether the people that offer that love be gay, straight, green, or blue. Love doesn't know prejudice. Also, every loving person deserves to offer a child some of that love. Besides people who treat children badly because of their parents sexual preference are *****.

I think it is an abomination before God that they adopt children.God said that woman was made for man.Not women for women or men for men.But that goes to show you that we are living in the last days,the bible is being fulfilled and more & more satan is deceiving people into ungodly sin.
