Your question drove me straight into the kitchen to prepare the pot for coffee. Like you, coffee is a beloved ritual for me. I enjoy the aroma of the freshly ground bean, the sounds the water makes as the first morning cup is brewing. Starbucks is my fav. I buy Gold Coast and Sumatra Decaf and combine them in equal parts for a very tasty brew. My new delight is to add a bit of Vanilla or Cinnamon Dolce syrup to my coffee. I look forward to it each day for not only it's rich taste, but for the community of friends I've found gathered around a nice hot cup of coffee. Starbucks is a great gathering place. I think it's nice to have something so soothing in today's stressful world. Happy sipping!

Well, I love good coffee but especially in the mornings I need it faster than the time it would take to grind. But I live in East Africa where I can always get the finest Ethiopian coffee from Harar region for relatively cheap, so I don't feel I'm missing out too much by not grinding fresh daily.

I buy the beans. Starbucks is way over priced. It's 5:30 am here and coffee sounds like a splendid idea.

I really like Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf; they have some pretty good coffees. Guatemalan Antigua or Sumatran Mandheling are some of my favs. You should try using a french press too. I thought Will Ferrell's coffee addiction in "Kicking and Screaming was pretty funny!"

I can be serious about coffee: strong dark beans kept in a sealed container in the bottom of the fridge, and espresso'd fresh ground to drink black.

I used to grind premium coffee beans and brew it every morning, but I found something much more nutritious, fresh veggie/fruit juice that I make with my juice extractor and blender.
In addition, the veggie-fruit juice doesn't give me bad breath, dehydrate me or cause my back to ache like the coffee did.

I grind my own and I have way better coffe than Starbucks. For an amazing dark, strong brew try Zabar's coffee.

A clean machine and filtered water are more important to me than pre ground or fresh ground. Maxwell house columbian supreme is as fancy as I go. Starbucks is overrated and overpriced
