I have been reading a book about vampires who live France. They live in a place called the Chateau de C------ (except it's not a dashed line).....what exactly does the C------ mean or how is it pronounced?

I know that un and una must agree in gender, but they also stand in for "a" and "an" (indefinite articles) in English. My question is, does either word change when it is used before a word that begins with a vowel? (For example: "Tom ate A fish, but Anna at AN apple). Does that work in Espanol?

All vowels are pronounced the same
Masculine and feminine words are usually distinguished
Spanish has less words to learn than English
Compared to English, there are few gramatical exceptions
Since it is based on Latin, if you don't recognize a word you can usually guess the meaning.
