I am not a native-speaker of English. I have noticed its usage in mostly those situations where someone says something and you have no answer and you say "Good for you!". Sometimes it seems sarcastic, sometimes a mild expression of annoyance and sometime a way of ending the conversation. Rarely have I felt neutral about it. What is the true nature of this expression?

I would like to know why must an Aryan language be forsed to be learnt in a Dravidian soil ? Firstly Hindi is a daughter of Sanskrit an intruders" language, Hindi being it"s daughter is a permanent resident Indo-Aryan language . Why should the purity of the non hindian soil be polluted with the presence of Hindi ?

Why not have the presence of a South Indian language presence in north also ?

I am wondering about the history of Cockney. For some reason I associate it with Liverpool, so is a regional dialect or slang? Is it recognized as a language? Socially, does it put a person who speaks it on a different social level? I can only understand a few words, and even then I have to listen carefully. Generally, can the population of Britain understand it? The only time I have ever heard it used was by rock stars, mainly of the past.

Beloved reached desired glow
And so we say may it be so
All doubts towards faith did grow
And so we say may it be so

From your fake anger and rage
And the sweet turning of the page
The world is a sugary stage
And so we say may it be so

Just outta curiosity, I wanna know which is more popular to learn. Chinese or Japanese? Also, why do you want to learn it? I prefere Japanese. I love anime and manga, but that's not why I'm interested in it. I just think it's an awesome language! I know Chinese is important to learn, but if it wasn't, what would you want to learn?

Or is it learnt from a Teacher in shool?

At what age the child starts learning this sign language which is used at an amazing speed by them while interacting with one another?

Is the sign language a global language or a local language? Do the deaf and dumb learn different languages as the normal persons do in reading writing and 'taliking'?

If they do, do they differentiate different languages and interact accordingly? How do they cope with their kind of people who talk a foriegn language? Do they find it as much difficult as the normal persons do?

Finally in which language their thoughts come in their mind before they 'speak' , read and write? In Mother Tongue's?
