Since 'text' is not a verb, there is no past tense. The proper way would be 'I sent him a text message last night'.

I thnk the advent of the mobile phone has change the usage of the word Text and it can now be classed as a verb. The rules applicable to the verb would follow.

this is "text cloth" in case you pay attention to it you could hear it. to declare texted looks like what a splash newborn might say....and that i don't recommend that to sound unkind. now and lower back analyzing something looks like a harsh remark, while it does not if a individual replaced into talking.

As a native English speaker I would say "I texted him", but I'm not 100% positive that is correct.

Test is a noun that we have turned in to a verb. "I texted" I suppose.
it should be "I sent him a text"

It's "texted"; even though it sounds misleading and not grammatically correct, it is, and it's a real word.
