What makes a house a house, and what makes it a home.
Is your house made out of bare metal where the wind can rush through and leave the walls cold full of ice?

aSalaam aleykuim.

My dear brothers and sisters in Islam..

I wept when I read this.. the Wahabbi regime in Saudi Arabia wishes to destroy the birthplace of the Phrophet Mohammed (pbuh) and replace with a parking lot, shopping mall, and luxory condo

Already they leveled the "Jannat al-Baqi" at Medina that included graves of the Prophet Muhammad's son Ibrahim, as well as numerous of the Prophet's relatives and original companions. They also looted the Prophet's Shrine in Medina and demolished the cemetery in Mecca that included the graves of Muhammad's mother and grandfather.
They destroy the mosque of Abu Bakr and turn Khadija's house into a latrine

HOW CAN WE ALLOW THIS?

Most likely not, since a lot of people here seem to like to do it. I am talking about muslims harshly criticizing their fellow muslims and declaring that they will be going to hell or something like that. Or that their actions are *****, when in fact they might just be makruh or something.
How about we spread more peace by speaking kindly and gently, instead of ranting about how bad the person is?
Anger is wrong too, you know! So getting angry at your fellow muslims and expressing that anger so harshly is definitely not good. It just makes me sad =(
Please, just try to spread good feeling....helpfulness is more readily accepted if offered with a kind word, a heartfelt word.
So i ask of you to please refrain from this harsh criticism of others! Guidance and wisdom dont equal total condemnation.
Thank you =)
Masalam

I am sorry I know you are tired of answering the same question over and over but my question is directed to those who think that the british lady deserves what happened to her.

For those who think the British lady deserves what happened to her, do you think prophet Muhammed (PBUH) is happy with what the Sudani Police did. We all know that prophet's Muhammed job was to teach people about Islam and attracts them to it so they endorse it. However, what the Sudani police did is just the opposite of that. They gave a bad idea about Islam and people now probably hate Islam more than before because of that action. They are just driving people away of Islam. Just the opposite of what prophet Muhammed wanted and did, so do you think he is happy with them?

Salaam

Salam Aleykum
Ok before I leave I am tempted to ask my last question.I had a deleted message (because it wasnt a question)

I am leaving for quite some time. And before I return I will send a message of hope and my sincere belief that the positive characteristics of the muslims will prevail bringing us the reason to unite for peace

I will be back, and no I havent given up. I want to give the following links (both shia and sunni) to go through:

oh my god is it just me or what? they are taking it to far I know what she did was not ok, but they are trying to make Islam look so bad and give a wrong message about Islam. They are making it worse for Islam .that’s what I think .what do you think. And its like the way they are acting makes people even talking more about sayidona Mohammed (sala Allah aleh wa salam). and we do not want that.

who do you feel is more at fault?:

1) The teacher for not knowing better.

2) The kids for not knowing better.

3) The kids' parents for not teaching them better about their own religion.

THIS IS NOT INTENDED TO OFFEND ANYONE, I'D JUST LIKE TO KNOW WHAT YOU THINK. If 1-3 above doesn't satisfy you then please give a different reason.

WHY DO YOU SPREAD LIES ABOUT ME???

I just mentioned the fact that muslims arent going to unite here just because of attitudes of some who think they have the right to judge other muslims...

I was pretty shocked at how the "prince of persia" was treated in all this. Dont u guys think he tried to be polite (well he was all the way), and deserved scholarly answers not the voice of trolls cursing him???

Well honestly i knew him since he was a kid...he's my aunt's son (first cousin), and i am compelled to see all his life he'd done little wrong to deserve punishment...u guys really should condemn all the insults hurled at the poor guy...

Dont u guys think u shud have atleast gone to treat him how he shud be?

and why do we see little condemnation of those foul-mouthed commentators both sunni and shia???

atleast a constructive dialogue can be set up cant it?

a) What don't you understand about your shia brothers and sister in Islam?

b) What don't you understand about your sunni brothers and sisters in Islam?

Please answer question A or B, thank you.

I'm still a student, a learner. So don't make it obvious about the question that I'm asking.
I know from my teacher that if we had done a good deed on ramadhan, Allah is gonna make it double. And I'm wonder if this theory would work when we have done a bad deed.

Salaams,

I'm Muslim who was born in America ( and I live in America).
I notice that many Muslims from the Middle East and India living in America are now celebrating Christmas.

I was raised Muslim in America, and I grew up knowing that Christmas is a Christian holiday all about the worship of Jesus as "god" and the "son of God". My family did not allow anyone to give me gifts when I was growing up, and my family explained that we are Muslims and we dont celebrate Christmas. Now, I see Muslims buying trees, taking their kids to the mall to take pictures with Santa Claus and everything!

Although I respect the right of Christians to celebrate Christmas of course--it surprises me to see MANY Muslims now beginning to celebrate it. WHY are you doing this???

(I Know people say its because they want to buy their kids gifts but come on: This is teaching kids the WRONG things, dont you think? )

I asked one of my aunts if she wanted to go ice skating with me, and she made a comment that it'll look funny if I do it in my hijab/abayah. I don't think it's a big deal, I am just going out to have fun, and being a Muslim shouldn't stop me from doing so. I'm not denying that others might think it looks funny, I'm sure they will but... whatever lol.

What do you think?

Assuming the following the right, tell me would you consider such a person a kafr/nonmuslim
He prays all the five prayers(salah) of the day, with sincere belief in One true God. He donates money to the poor(how much is required plus more),even though he is 17,just because he earns money and believes they should help to fight opression, prevent hunger, provide happiness to those lacking it
Although he hasnt yet gone for a pilgrimage, he reads the Quran out of his own accord.Despite "moderate upbringing", he is devoted to learning about his religion by reading books by scholars, and more importantly the noble Qur'an translated
He calls himself a shia-that is where his theological views originate from, and he calls for unity. His donations have gone to sunni countries Bangladesh,Pakistan and,God willing, will sponsor Palestinians
He has his flaws, but he has tried his best to be a good influence to soceity by deeds and devotion

If the following really describe a person is he a muslim?

I know that most normal Muslims think it is wrong to punish that teacher because she made an innocent mistake..

But people still say it is sinful to call a teddy bear Mohammed because it is name of the prophet (pbuh)

But I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY this is wrong!!!

We call boys all the time Mohammed and it is a common surname. And people use for a business name too (sometimes on shops where they sell things that are not too good like a newsagent that sells porno, booze an' lottery tickets)

So why is it just wrong to call a Teddy bear Mohammed? When I was little I had a Stuffed rabbit called Mohammed because I liked that name, my parents didn't tell me there was something wrong with it.

Can anyone explain what is unislamic. I don't want to make sin

After school, all of the pious Muslim guys go down to the "prayer room" we have to pray asr...i also go to pray asr and qa'da zuhr, but none of the other girls go. I feel really awkward if i walk into the room and all of the guys are there talking and getting ready for prayer, and i am the ONLY girl! (also i am not quite used to praying in jamaah yet, it makes me kinda nervous) So i pray in an alcove right outside of the room, where i can still hear the leader....but they chide me, saying i should pray in the room with them....but i am not quite comfortable with praying in a room with 6 guys and no other girl there for moral support, lol! I'm fine if it is just one or 2 guys, but just the crowd of them makes me realllly nervous, plus i feel like an outsider, being the only convert =/
Is this really silly of me? Eventually i would like to join them, but right now it makes me uncomfortable. They seem to think it is very silly =/
any....advice? lol idk...input!!! Thanks =)

I asked a question the other day requesting Muslims to stop being Sunnis or Shias instead be Muslims because we are too busy fighting amongst ourselves and kafirs are taking advantage of that. Example: All the bloodshed in Iraq between 'Sunnis' and 'Shias' that kafirs are taking advantage of.
