Asalam Alaykum, I was always brought up in a religious home. I remember spending a day in my room praying and crying to God for him to forgive me for all my sins and take me to jennah (I was maybe 8). I wish that I was good now as I was as a kid, lol. I try to do what my religion ask of me and inshAllah God does know what in in my heart. Religion is something that I am and have always been drawn to. I have always thought people are for religion or science (I am for both) but I always believe religion #1 and then look into science from that with my answers. I find that religion calms me. It makes order in my life!

My life was meaningless I used to stress over any little stupid thing! One day it hit me 3 years ago it was the first Ramadan that I actually stated to fast properly and prayed all my Salaah ( prayer) I Earnestly asked Allah (swt) to help me and acknowledged how ignorant I had been, the further I studied the more I wanted to act upon. I was involved in many wrong things which I ask Allah (swt) to forgive me, but from them wrong things I realised the light of Allah's as I realised my mistakes and moved the right way.

It's really difficult to explain without going into to much detail but all I can say is I witnessed a miracle within myself as I was a lost soul before and Alhamdulillah now I have found Inner peace (",)

Thank you for the great question!

When I realized the importance and vitality of religion, and not just religion, but an systematic way to live my life. Islam is not simply a religion, but a way of life. I have a better understanding of the purpose of life and in every way, Islam makes my life a lot easier! The connection between the individual and their Creator, is the best thing that could ever happen to any individual.

U KNOW WHAT????

i used to see blue films and do things i shoulnt have done but when i read quran and the sunnah of prophet muhammad then i realised that every time i did a bad thing it was way worse than wrong!!!!that was the turning point of my life

and we muslims believe that we will pay for our sins so we are very concience when we r doing anything because it can make allah angry

just by saying somebody paid for my sins is just pushing the burden of ur sins onto one another and which is pathetic and illogical

I never did. the only reason I followed religion the first 15 years of my life is because it was forced upon me, which is why now, i see no real meaning in it. I blame my parents, because if I were to learn about religion at my own pace, I might enjoy it, but now I don't even want to bother.

I begain to study Islam from the time I could read. I took a real interest in Islam when I read books from Ibn Taymyyah books about the age of 14.. It opened my eyes about many things.. Like who is Muslim, who is nonmuslim etc;...what is the sunnah and how to follow the sunnah. Everytime I am reading about Islam I learn more and more I feel as if I am swimming in the ocean...

I stopped going to church at 6 years old. Then my mother never took us to church or raised us in religion again so I got out of the habit of believing in a God. When I was 19 I coverted to Christianity, didn't understand that at all, and left it in September of 2006 after being a Christian for 4 months. Then I became an Agnostic until I found Islam and have been Muslim for 1 year.

Actually, I never was religious, though I believed at least spiritually. When I was diagnosed with cancer (which I did survive) I turned to God and it really was a comfort. The secret is to believe and accept. When you do this you will be amazed what you will discover.

When I was young (7yrs) my parents will take us to church and we were told to pray before all meals and before we went to bed. I was very interesting in the cartoon Bibles stories and I feared GOD because of his power so I would pray to him often and I would try to do right in all I did. As I got older (teenager) I began to stray a little but I always Prayed, thats important to me. Now at mid 20's I dont make it to church often, but I try to read my Bible everyday and I pray all the time.

Very young, about age 3 or 4. I had a strong faith but had to internalize my faith for myself when i was a young adult. My effort was fruitful.
