I know it may sound dumb but I think I like the time leading up to it more than the day of it . Well I guess that's kind of b/c I know I will have to start my 365 day's all over again.

Nevermind I like the day better but still answer please.

Not many i bet. My boss is expecting her staff to work Christmas day for £5.52 per hour. Not a penny more.
Is she the meanest boss in the UK?

For the last 4 years we have spent Christmas with his family, this year I'd like to spend it with mine, or else go away together somewhere. He thinks his family will be upset/offended if we do not spend Christmas with them (they don't make a big deal out of it, just dinner and gifts and carols as background music) and he won't consider doing something different, am I wrong to ask again that we spend it with my family?

How do other couples work this out so everyone is happy?

I just wonder if people are fed up with the shops pushing Christmas at everyone from October and if it will get to be like Easter, which was a fairly big deal in the 60's but now no-one really bothers. ( I mean no offence to Christians btw, I mean the commercialism of it all)

There's a lot to get through before then, Mischievous night, school hols, Halloween, Bonfires etc....but it's certainly looming on the horizon.

Honestly, it get's more commercial each year, with less emphasis on it's meaning. Anyone agree?

It's approaching that Holiday time again. I display the Christmas Villages mainly Dept 56 and Lemax. Last year I started to decorate Thanksgiving Weekend and just didn't have enough time and thought I didn't do a good job. When does everyone else start displaying. I have about 40 buildings not including accessories and will be adding at least 10 this year. My family think anything earlier then Thanksgiving is to early for Decorating, but they don't understand the hard work.

okay so i was thinking of something to make for my boyfriend this christmas because i make him stuff all the time and i am running out of ideas. And what i was thinking about doing is making him like a quilt blanket..and i was going to put pictures of us on it.

i think i heard of getting material and putting photos on it..thats what i was going to do.

my question is first could i do this? and how do you think it would look?

I AM NOT ASKING if you think my boyfriend would like it. i know he will like it. he really does liek everything i make him. plus you don't even know him so you could not possibly answer that, so please dont put in your opinion about that part of it. thankss!

and also..how early should i start this?? if i do it?

I can't find it nowhere, its a plastic set made to resembile a ski slope. There are figuers that run the course of twist and turns and then climps the hill to do it all again. If anyone can point me in the right direction it will help me alot. I've been looking to find one for sale here in florida, and i cant find one.

We are have money trouble right now, and cant afford to buy EVERYONE in the huge family we have a gift. There are 21 counting kids and adults, my aunt doesnt want to give up TRADITION but she keeps saying she also is having money problems. Our family is not the only family that is have problems there are also my grandparents and other aunt. So I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how we could set up a plan that everyone agrees on but like i said we cant buy a present for the whole family.
Thanks in advance
:-)

Mine is, and always will be Christmas time! I love the feeling in the air(snow if you live in area where snow is possible). Its nice to see family that you do not see during the year. Kid's and the smiles on their faces!! Anyway, that is my take! What is yours??
