So, my husband and I have 3 little kids and I am 24 and going back to school, and my husband works construction but is most likely going to be laid off because of how the housing market is going(although it is a great buyers market) so he will get unemployment and then I will get a part time job fo awhile until he can find something that pays what he is making right now, so here is my question, I was thinking 3 presents for each of the kids and they are 5 and 3 yr. old twins, and then 1 present for my nephew. Here is what I think might be the cheap part I was thinking of giving my sister and her huband, and my brother and his girlfriend 20 dollar gift cards to the Olive Garden and then maybe some candy to put in the gift bag with it, and then a 40 dollar gift card to a restaurant for my mom and dad, and a 15 dollar gift card to subway for my granparents. Tell me what you think about that, I just don't want to go overboard and then broke. Any other ideas for inexpensive gifts??

For years we went crazy on the decorations when we had a beautiful old house right on the corner, in a neighborhood setting. Nothing tacky, but we left nothing undecorated. My electricity bill would triple in December.

Okay, the story is based off of a Christmas song, Nestor the long-eared Christmas donkey. The character is mainly like a first Christmas Rudolf with his friends making fun of him and stuff.
Mary and Joseph pick him to take them to Bethlehem. My story is mainly an adventure/Christmas story. What are some things I can add in (Character ideas, places events)? I kind of want it to have the classic feel of Rankin/Bass specials (Note: This was in fact a Rankin/Bass special) So my questions for the public are:

1:Should I stick with the original Rankin/Bass storyline? and

2: What are some events/characters/ect. I can add in?

and do you have budget, for family and friends, i do and i blow it every year
what i do is for all the little ones who come to the house i buy loads of packets of sweets wrap them up put under the tree so when they come there something under the tree for everyone it takes hours to wrap but to see there little faces it worth every second

I'm fourteen and I'm quite close to my dance teacher. She's been teaching me for over a year now and I'm not sure what to get her for christmas but I don't want to just give her a card. I was wondering about chocolates but do dancers eat chocolate or do they like to watch their weight? Same with alcohol... any suggestions?

I love the holiday season with my family but I don't make many plans. I buy gifts, prepare food and have my house ready for company. Then I wait and see who shows up. This might sound stressful to others but I don't sit there wringing my hands and worrying when children, grandchildren and friends will show up. My husband and I like being home for the holidays so they know where to find us.

we have 3 lots in NC and need to shade them while on display. Canopy? where can we get one? how much? sizes? other ideas on how to build a shade area over the tress. ALSO.... any ideas or companies that have kids "things" ie merry go rounds, petting zoos?
