The New Living Translation Holy Bible. Its been translated into modern english, no "art" and "thou", and "shalt". If she's a student of the Bible I recommend the NLT Study Bible by Tyndale House Publishers.

I would suggest a gift card that can be used anywhere. This way she can get what she wants and won't be disappointed getting something she neither wanted nor had any use for. 13 yr old girls are difficult to buy for even if you are the kid's parent. If you are worried that she will think you didn't care about what you gave her just add a note with the card that now she can get whatever she Really wants. You might also add a couple of roses or some other kind of flowers (ask her mum) that she likes just to brighten up the gift a little. Hope that is of some help to you. Happy Christmas! LL

You could invest in an experience package for her.

Most thirteen year olds have far too many possessions and what I think they appreciate is an unusual experience.

Send her to a ballroom dancing experience, gymnastics or ice skating or singing or music lessons. You could arrange for her to have a day at a modelling school or a drama workshop.

If she loves the experience she may find an interest that lasts a life time. So many young girls don't have hobbies and interests and I always think that is very good to get them involved in more than school work.

I like the gift certificate idea...I would get a mix of gift cards from your local mall or to stores where she can shop for stores like Sam Goody, Claires, Macy's, Abercrombie and Fitch, Aerostotle (spelling?), Payless shoes, Target, any of them.

I would think at her age she will just want some DVD's, music, and clothes.

Cute things I have seen recently (if she is into them) are fake nail kits for High School Musical and Hannah Montana and they have a whole line of Hannah Montana makeup and High School Musical makeup too geared for the pre-teens. I would do that for my own niece so that is why I am suggesting all of the above.

wow, im a 13 year old girl and I could go on forever, lol. but i won't. i would get some clothes, (it really depends on her style and what shes into though) maybe perfume, makeup, and ipod or music player, cellphone?, or a new pet! that would be my favorite! a magazine subscrition might be great too, or even a cool lamp for her room, and cool rugs, and posters of her favorite band! all those types of things for her room. and and iTunes giftcard if she likes music and has internet access. you have to find out what she's into though, really, because all 13 year old girls are really diverse and have a lot of different idea's and things they love. those are just some things i would like. but here is a site that might help...

Well, when it's Christmas I'll be 13, [my bday in November], and I think some gift vouchers for clothes shops would be great.

if you really want to get her something she will like you will need to ask her to make you a list of what she wants, or talk to her friends? Like the lady below said, if she's faithful a student's study bible is appropriate for chirstmas, or a cross pendant or earrings. You never mentioned price but that's up to you of course.
Figure out what the decor in her room is and get something to match. A pink throwrug and matching towels maybe? leopard footstool and makeup? a lovely kit of bath accessories; bubble bath, loofah, facial mask, moisturizer, body lotion, etcetera. The Majority of girls I know, cousins and others, can't have enough stuff like that.

You can get her a gift card from her favorite store. Or if you want to get her something you can't go wrong with clothes a nice pair of jeans and a top, stylish shoes. Music, jewlery, or electronics. At that age there is so much that they are into.

Take her out and have her choose a gift. Then buy it and have her wrap it up and choose someone else to give it to. Christmas is about giving, and it feels good to help someone learn to give to others.
That could be your gift.
