In story books everyone always says the North pole, so that is where we tell children he comes from.

Lapland is near Finland, and they have an amusement attraction there called Santa's Workshop, where they have a guy dressed up as Santa. Kids can go and visit him, and they think they are meeting the real santa, as it looks really authentic, and there is snow everywhere in Lapland.

Because this place is so famous, lots of people says he lives in Lapland. But fictionally its the North Pole.

Well I always thought it was the North Pole, in most kids stories anyways. Tho I have also seen movies with him living in Lapland, they are usually the more serious older child/adult type movies.
Here's a thought, Santa will be down the Mall very soon, why not line up with the kiddies and ask him where he actually lives. ;-)

Lapland is in the North Pole. But, in children's Christmas stories only the North Pole is mentioned that I know of. Have you heard any different?

North pole is what all the childs hear and know. Most children would have no idea that lapland exists, they just think its just the north pole. so its the north pole.

definitely north pole. if its anywhere else it must be some kind of weird movie because all the Santa movies Ive seen for the past million years have been in the north pole. If you have to know for sure though, google SANTA MOVIES and you will get summaries of a million movies. HOPE THIS HELPS!
