If you haven't and want to make Christmas a little special for a needy child, just log onto Samaritan's Purse website. All you do is fill a shoebox full of small items for a boy or girl and drop it off ( the locations will be on the website for your city). It's a great way to get your children involved in giving as well.

thier parents buy them hundreds of toys!!! and i always see them dump thier toys to play with something you would least expect like a box... or a stick. Should i just wrap up a huge box full of sticks and pipes they are gonna play with them anyway..

This year I would like to start my own traditions for my family . Here is the problem my husband has always went to his mothers for christmas because he never had his own family well now that we are married and have kids ( three step and one biological) he still wants this tradition . I like the idea of starting our own with me making dinner and letting the kids enjoy there gifts all day around the house . I should also say that there tradition has you up and at her house by nine that does not even give the kids time to really even look at there gifts . I keep trying to tell my husband that my oldest is fourteen and he will be off to college before we know it and i want him to have traditions of our own. is there any one who can help??

Hello, this is my first Christmas in London, being away from family and friends (who are back in Australia) I have no idea what I can do at Christmas to make it actually feel like Christmas.

There is just myself and my fiancé.

Does anyone have any ideas on what we can do?

Your help is appreciated!

for me: helping the eldery lady next door, giving to charity/missions and being a "secret santa" for a needy child in my home town.

I grew up poor so if we were lucky enought to get a tree we got it the day before @ 50% off and kept it till sometimes the middle of January. But now that I'm grown up I can afford my own, so if i wanted to get it the day after Thanksgiving will it last or will it start turning brown.

We'd like to get our neighbour something for Christmas. He's active, still works, goes to the gym 4 times a week, and likes chinese food.

Would a jumper be a good idea, or is it boring?

Remember the days when we were of for Christmas vacation (not winter break)? My son came home last year with color pages of a manorah (i know i mispelled that one) and pages representing kwanza. What happend to Baby Jesus in the manger??? Is this right? Shouldn't they do all religions or none? I'm deeply offended by this.....if it happens this year should I complain?
