Talk to your mother and let her know how important this tradition is to you. Maybe she has a reason for wanting to do it this year? Perhaps if you talk with her you can change her mind or come up with a compromise. Or perhaps there is another family member who will take you to your grandmothers.

Maybe you should start thinking about the fact that Christmas is not about Santa and presents. Do you realistically believe that you can keep up this tradition forever. That being said, maybe your mom has a very good reason why she doesn't want to go. Maybe all the driving is a hassle. When you grow up and have children of your own you will understand that the holidays is a lot of work. Perhaps as a suggestion see if your Grandmother can come to your house for Christmas. After all, setting aside the Christen reasons for celebrating the holiday, isn't it about family? You should talk to your mom

Maybe you'll creat a new tradition this year that you'll like even more. If you love Christmas so much try not to let what you're not doing ruin the day. You could talk to your mom about it and if she still says no than all you can do is embrace it.

I agree with the first two. Tell you mother why you love the tradition so much, and ask her reasons for not wanting to do it. There may be a way to compromise.

Try to find a compromise. Let her know how much the tradition part means, but put less emphasis on the gifts.
