The day after Thanksgiving is not too early to put up a Christmas tree. Sometimes I put up the Christmas tree even earlier and one year it turned out so beautiful I left it up until Feb. 13th. Enjoying the beauty of the decorations. Have a Very Merry Christmas!!!

I put my Tree up the day after Thanksgiving every year and I take it down New Years Day. I think the Tree helps us all get into the holiday spirit and it is so much work to put it up that I don't want to just take it back down a week later.

I of course use an artificial tree and some people like the real thing. Happy Holiday Making!!

Heck no! That is the perfect day to start decorating. My family always starts with the tree, and we do that the day after Thanksgiving. If you want suggestions for a tree, I say get an artificial one. It might take a couple of hours to put up, but there is no mess, and you can keep it for a very long time. So, that is the perfect time, and after the tree get everything else done!

Personally, I think it's too early to put up a Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving.

But many people have a family tradition of doing that so they enjoy the tree for a good period of time during the holidays. Also the outside decorations for the house go up.'

No, before Thanksgiving that's a little weird but I know that tradition is very common in the South(Texas). Well, it's either putting up a tree vs. Chrisitmas shopping the day after Thanksgiving. It's perfectly normal.

Don't listen to anymore who says otherwise. Someone just told them Santa was not real too early in their life. Don't let your Christmas spirit be doubted.

No way. Thats our family tradition. We either do it day after or day of if some one has to leave from out of town. I love having the tree up for the whole month. I have known families that put theirs up like a week before Christmas and when you go into their house before hand it seems less Christmasy. Besides the way I see it why work so hard to only enjoy something so wonderful and awesome for only a week?
I say put the tree up. Dont forget to give it water so it doesnt dry out on ya! :) Enjoy the holidays!

There is a Christmas tree farm close to my house, so the day after Thanksgiving we have made it a tradition to go pick out and cut down a tree and decorate it.

If it is a live tree, yes. The tree is likely to dry out within about 2 weeks and it will become dangerous as a fire hazard.

If it is an artificial tree, then absolutely not!! Put it up whenever you would like! Enjoy the season, it's already short as it is!

Thanks giving is 3 weeks from today, November 23rd this year. Bear in mind that your tree will be up for a month before Christmas. With that in mind, make sure you have a tree that won't shed a lot of needles. Stay away form Douglas or Frasier firs; go with a Noble fir or a spruce.
