I recommend 5 things: First of all, watch the movie, The Polar Express. Granted, it is a kid movie, but it has a GREAT message for all of us and by the end of the movie, you will probably be standing on your own couch chanting, "I BELIEVE." It is that good. Secondly, you can purchase a fragrance oil, called the "Smell of Christmas" at most major department stores. You put a drop of oil on all of your light bulbs and each time you turn on a light you are definitely reminded of the Holiday season! Third, you can purchase sleigh bells that hang on your front door. Every time you or someone else enters or leaves, you hear them and will definitely be reminded. Fourth, PUT UP A CHRISTMAS TREE even if you live by yourself. Turn on the lights each night and be amazed by its beauty. Last, but definitely not least, and the most important, visit a Church so that you can be reminded as to the real reason that we celebrate the Christmas season.

hey I'm 17 and the last two years I was yea Christmas but not that excited so this year I wanted a change I want to be excited and I am I actually starting listening to some Christmas music already and its only November 2 but hey it reminds me of when I was younger and I realize I don't care about getting gifts but giving them. They could be small things like cleaning the house for my parents, and getting good grades because I know that what they want I'm not talking huge *** gifts but small sentimental things because it make them happy. That's what makes me excited for Christmas. Being happy and being with my family.

This may not be up your alley, but when I was around your age I felt the same way. I volunteered at the local old age home, helping with their craft days, making gifts, etc. , and also I worked part time at a local department store. This was a lot of fun and also really got the Christmas spirit going for me.

Maybe there's family traditions you could follow? Or maybe make your own.. put pine scent in the air. play Christmas carols.. have some hot cider.. depending on where you are - turn the AC down so it gets chilly. It's not always about the presents.. if those don't get the holiday spirit going anymore, take more delight in what you are going to get others and seeing the happiness on their faces. Revel in being with your loved ones. :)

If you're in the UK go to The Spirit of Christmas fair at Olympia, that'll get you into the Christmas spirit for sure!

I know this may sound TOTALLY corny but I put on some Christmas music and write some Christmas cards. I have years where it is hard to get into the spirit of it, too. Take care and have a WONDERFUL holiday season!

Find a child. Who's Father or Mother is in jail and won't be home for Christmas. Find out what one thing that child really wants for Christmas. Buy it, but don't put your name on it. Instead write Merry Christmas, Love Daddy/Mommy and leave it on their doorstep, ring the bell and then leave quickly.

Make a nice big mug of candycane hot chocolate. Put on your favourite CD of Christmas music and trim the tree. Gets me and my family into the spirit everytime.

Dress up in a Santa suit, lay out on the living room rug with a nice Chablis and wait for your favourite person for those twelve days of Christmas.
