Holidays - November 2007

My oven is not working and I won't be able to get a repairman to fix it before Thursday -- be lucky if I can get one before Christmas here in Tasmania, but that is another problem all together. However, I want to make Thanksgiving Dinner for a few friends and family and need to find a place that will cook my turkey for me. I can do all the rest. Does anyone know a place in Hobart that will cook a turkey?

Me & my bf are going to my family get together in a few days...I'm about to turn 20 yrs old, so my mother told me that I can also start bringing a dish, or snacks. Any ideas? I haven't done this before. Maybe some kind of sweet treat, or finger food? Ideas? thanks!

ok so i have to get 2 gifts for 2 different guys

the 1st gy is my best friend:
he plays+likes foot ball
likes clothes: like lacoste..(?) and stff like like like polos shirts
hes 15 years old
we made a deal of a $30.00 to spend


the second guy is my boyfriend
he also plays football
he wears alot of diffent types of clothes... hollister+south pole ect...
hes 17 years old

I am Muslim and I though everything that is harmful is banned in Islam but G-d banned music and didn't ban smoking although the effects of smoking are much more dangerous that the effects of music.
How is that logical?

recite Ayatul Kursi before you go to sleep? I totally and completely recommend that you do! InshaAllah I always recite it before sleeping but last night, I was kinda just resting my eyes but I ended up falling alseep. I hadn't read Ayatul Kursi though. I have a bunch of squash I want to use quickly, and was thinking I might could use some of it for Thanksgiving dinner but other than breading it and frying it, I don't know how to prepare it to look and taste festive. This will be my last Christmas. I am very sick and have been told that I will not make it past Aug of 2008. I have an 8 month old son and A fiance whom I adore. Both are my life/I am there life not to mention theres no family on either of our sides and I want his to be the best Christmas I can. We dont have very much money at all, and this is my sons 1st Christmas. I know that Christmas is a time of togetherness, family and love butI have a problem. I want to get them both a gift that will last forever. Something that they can look back on and know I am right there with them.I found out that my fiance is buying me a star with my name. Thats my gift and will be passed to my baby boy when I am gone so that he knows Mommy is right there with him watching over and protecting him. I want something just as nice for them and I cannot find/think of anything. I need something special and unique yet affordable... I need something truly memorable for there last Christmas with me. Any Ideas?

I've been with my husband for 5 years now. This Christmas we are going to travel up to PA to visit our families up there. The unfortante thing is my husbands brother is throwing a Christmas dinner at his home. He doesn't approve of me for some reason. No one knows, either do I. And every Christmas season or any special holiday or occasion that goes on they only invite my husband and our child. But they never invite me. And that hurts. Because on Christmas Day I want to be able to spend it with my husband and child and everyone all together. My husband doesnt defend me on this matter. He just goes along and forgets that I have feelings and it hurts that i can't be part of his family. He doesn't defend the fact that he should speak to his brother and defend me as his wife. What can I do to get a point across him and his brother?
