Holidays - November 2007

ok,8 children and young adults.4 girls age around 8,10,12 & 14.& 4 boys 1 y/o,3 y/o,13 y/o & 19 y/o.of course I'm on a budget like no more than $15.00 each.I really appreciate your ideas,thanks in advance.

my boyfriend never had a stocking. even though i am 18 i still love to see my stocking filled on xmas morning. id like him to experience it to and would like to prepare a stocking for him. what small things can i put in it.

My house maintiains a temp. of about 78 degrees. My husband and I wanted to get a real tree, but we are unsure if it will survive in our environment. I thought it would be alright if we water it twice a day or so, but others say no way not to bother. Any thoughts?

When making your salah do your kids seem to be more distracting? I have a one year old and three year old at home and as soon as I start my salah there they go...jumping on me, getting under the bed and the baby not being able to get out.
or He will just sit infront of me and stare, Subhanallaah..no wonder Allaah said,

I bought my dad Leona Lewis' album for christmas but now he's talking about buying it for himself before xmas and I don't want him to as i've already got it for him but I don't want to let him know i've bought it. I have 4 kids, 3 of them with great teachers, the other one .. well.. still need to buy for her, as my child would wish to. They also have great teacher-aides, office personnel and a very friendly bus driver I would like them to acknowledge. Two of the teachers have dietary/allergy issues - so some ideas have to not include food gifts please. Thank you. P.S. Two of the teachers are male, really stuck on what to get them in particular. All ideas very much appreciated - I am shopping for them next week. Thank You!

Muslims how is your relationship with your neighbors? Personally I just moved and so my family and I is still the new people on the block, but all is good. My previous house my family and I (yes all of us) was close with my neighbors. We would help out with the kids/general things, and visit each other as neighbors would. Unfortunately no Muslim neighbors, now and then.

I don't know if Americans get it...but basically it's a fire log that's taped and shown at christmas time on channel 3 here in Vancouver...and it's the stupidest thing....but I absolutely love it.lol
