I have this quote: "A true friend is someone who thinks that you are a good egg even though he knows that you are slightly cracked." What might be a funny add-on that is also related to this quote? I'm going to write it on my friend's Christmas card.

I'd like to do something fun for both my friends and me. You only turn 18 once ;P I kind of already ruled out a party at my house. I usually have one every year, and I want to do something different. Since it might matter, I live in the OC in California.

SO, I couldn't buy cheaper if I wanted to. $50 for just meat. I have yet to buy the salad, pickles/olives, bread which will set me back another $15 oh yes and drinks $5. so Altogether $70 for a dinner for 4 people. How much is your expense and how many are you feeding?

I dont understand! When I go to shopping I always see prices "40% off" or something like that in big stores. Well, Thanksgiving is approaching, and what kind of Sale should I expect? Is it the biggest sale time in the USA? if yes, where do i need to buy stuff like clothes, jewelry, linens, bed covers, electronics, etc.? When does this sale take place? on Thanksgiving date or the day after? At what time? Any suggestions on which items are the most discounted? Any ideas which shop is the best place to buy?

We are having a casual office party for about 20-25 people. I need some Christmas themed inexpensive but super fun party games to play and instructions please. We don't have a lot of space and we have people from age 24-60. The games need to be G or Maybe PG, nothing too racy. Thanks!

I am wondering if it is a bad idea to try to brine a large turkey (22 lbs) I usually don't buy a huge turkey like that because I know smaller tastes better, but I am having alot of people over for thanksgiving so I did this year.
I have never brined a turkey before, and everything I read says to use a 12-14 lb turkey, is a big one going to come out ok, or should I just get a smaller turkey?

I seen it on the news the other day, this one particular department store refuses to rush the Christmas season. They have signs up throughout the store that say stuff like "Santa didn't come on the Mayflower" and "Let's talk turkey first, then we'll talk about Christmas." They want to celebrate the holidays in their proper order. I think it's great! What do you all think about it, and does anyone know what the name of it is and where it's at?

This is actually an answer to a resolved question. Nobody had the right answer. The British do not have a one day holiday. They have a Church Festival where people bring food to celebrate and thank God for the harvest. In Canada, we still do the same thing - used to be that you had to wrap the food in white tissue paper, but now you can bring it unwrapped. Also, in Canada, we do have a one day holiday but it is in October, so it is our rendition of celebrating the harvest - a throw-back from our English ancestors that we have made our own.
