This is the first year that my husband, son and I are moved away from our family and I really want to start some of our family traditions. We make christmas cookies, visit the elderly, go caroling but I'm looking for new things to add. I just want my son (9 years old) to really enjoy what he has left of his childhood with great family traditions. Any suggestions?????

i want to get/make a gift for a girl I like in my class. We talk a lot but I still don't know much about her to know what to get her. I was thinking a gift basket but I dont know how to make one or what to put in it. Umm I dont want to make it obvious that I like her because I'm not ready to tell her yet. I still want to learn more abuot her and have her learn more about me before I make a move that might turn out awkward and ruin the friendship. Also I don't know if she has a boyfriend yet. Any suggestions on what I can give her. No: Money/gift cards... Something thoughtful and creative. 60 bucks max.

My teenage boyfriend lives with his grandmother. His grandmother is a wonderful woman who I love to bits. I'd like to do something nice for her for Christmas, but I don't know her well enough to get her an actual present.

I was thinking I could bake her like a pie or something, but that was just an idea.

Any ideas?

I always love to spoil my dog on Christmas. I buy him presents and let him open them himself(he finds the wrapping paper to be quite entertaining). Does anyone do this?

I've been with my bf/fiance for a bit over 4 years now and have spent so much time and money into buying him gifts! I'm out of ideas. Last year I spent around $700.00 just on him and this year I plan on only spending $200.00 max b.c. financial things have come up. Are there any good ideas? Please no shirts/hats/music ideas! He has sooo much of those! DVD's are OK depending on what it is, but he LITERALLY owns OVER 600 movies already! :oP

Thanks for your help!!

The theme this year for a gift was coffee mug. I've got a really big Texas flag mug and was wondering at some unique ideas of something to fill it with. there's always hot chocolate mix, but is there anything else anyone can come up with? Just curious. Thanks for all your ideas. And please, keep it clean. It's for my uncle.

Wow, dragging the boxes of decorations down from the attic, or in other cases, up from the basement, do we get to a point that as we get older, it is too much of a hassel dto do it anymore?

I have all kinds of decorations for this upcoming time of the year, but, putting them all up inside and outside gets to me more and more work as I get older.

Do you have this same problem? How do you keep the holiday spirit alive thru decorations and take muscle relaxers at the same time?

Guess old age takes it's toll on once household decorations, what about you?

They are used mainly in professional settings for decorations but they are really bright and blink like an led looking light. If any one here is from New York City, they have the light in Snowflake on 5th Ave and 59th st. And also in the Rockefeller Xmas tree, various stores on 5th Ave ane also on the christmas tree in the pavillion are in that building at 58th in between 3rd and lexington.

I do not want my mom cooking turkey this year so we said we'll get genardies or something to cook it for us...I remember they did something like that. Is Genardies it. Is there more? better? Save my Thanksgiving. Best meal of the year, except Taco bell.

Back when i was growing up we went to Church on Sunday and after Sunday morning Church we would go to Grandmother's house or home and have family come over for Sunday Dinner. I miss those Day's. How about you?
