in salt water over night then they wash it off and cook it and it makes the meat real juicy and tender has anyone else heard of this or done this? Thanks for your Help

yeah its pretty good. my mom doesnt brine her turkey any more although she used to. now she does something better. she makes "beer butt turkey" she puts the turkey in a garbage bag and into an ice chest with enough beer in the bag to cover the turkey with different seasonings over night...you can season it however you like my fav is with fajita seasoning. its better than injecting because injecting it breaks the skin and leaves a hole for the juices to come right back out.

I often brine chicken breasts and pork, and it makes the meat nice and juicy. I'm going to try brining a turkey for the first time this year. I use a brine recipe from Cook's Magazine that is very basic, doesn't use herbs and stuff like that.

Some people do this. yes it is called brine. You can marinade it in lots a stuff. Try a little different every year till you find what you like best or just the quest for a little different turkey.

you can brine your turkey but i never have.
