We are two alone in Ann Arbor and want to find really good food on Thanksgiving. We're not fond of Weber's. Other suggestions?

There's a few options for "really good food" on Thanksgiving.

One option is to buy the food yourself and have dinner at home or with friends. You can buy an entire dinner at Zingerman's Deli or buy ingredients individually (e.g. mashed or sweet potatoes) -- their food is excellent. Whole Foods will also have several thanksgiving food options.

Another option is to go to a local restaurant. In terms of high quality dining, here are a few suggestions:

Zingerman's Roadhouse - they mention a Thanksgiving dinner to go on their website, but maybe they also have something in the restaurant as well?

The Gandy Dancer - Thanksgiving in a historic train station, how American!

The Earle - High class Ann Arbor dining

Gratzi - High class Italian Ann Arbor dining

Chop House - High class steak Ann Arbor dining ;)

You could also look into other restaurants on Main Street such as Prickly Pear, Palio, Real Seafood Company, Rush Street, etc. Some may be closed for the holiday, but I'd wager that several, particularly on Main Street, have special menus.

One last idea -- If you can't find a restaurant you like on Thursday night, treat it like any other Thursday and don't go out to dinner and just enjoy each other at home. Then go for broke Friday or Saturday night when all the restaurants will be open. Just remember to call ahead or make reservations because no one else wants to cook after Thanksgiving.

ONE LAST NOTE: The restaurants listed above are very popular. Call SOON to make reservations before they fill up!!

I've listed links for the restaurants below. Have a happy and enjoyable Thanksgiving holiday in the great city of Ann Arbor!
