recite Ayatul Kursi before you go to sleep? I totally and completely recommend that you do! InshaAllah I always recite it before sleeping but last night, I was kinda just resting my eyes but I ended up falling alseep. I hadn't read Ayatul Kursi though. I had not just one, but a whole series of AWFUL, TERRIFYING dreams. I've never had such afwul dreams before. Please remember to recite Ayatul Kursi, it's for our own benefit!

Assalaam Alaykum Sister

Jazak'Allah Khair for the reminder, Alhamdulillah I do (",)

EDIT:::

In the name of Allah the Most Merciful, and Compassionate Allah

There is no god but He,
The Living, the Everlasting,
Slumber seizes Him not, neither sleep,
To Him belongs all that is in the heavens and the earth.
Who is there that can intercede with His, except by His leave?
He knows what lies before them and what is after them,
And they comprehend not anything of His Knowledge save as He wills.
His throne comprises the heavens and the earth,
The preserving of them fatigues Him not,
And He is the All-High, All-Glorious.

[Al-Quran: Surat al-Baqarah, Ayah 255]

Salam

In Sha Allah I will. Thank you for the advice sister. If you recite this Ayah Allah will send down the angels to protect you during the night until morning. And Shaytan will not be able to come near you till morning. Allahu Akbar!

The Translation is:

"Allah! none has the right to be worshipped but He, the Ever Living, the One Who sustains and protects all that exists.
Neither slumber nor sleep overtakes Him. To Him belongs
whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His permission? He knows what happens to them (His creatures) in this world, and what will happen to them in the Hereafter. And they will never compass anything of His knowledge except that which He wills. His Kursi extends over the heavens and the earth, and He feels no fatigue in guarding and preserving them. And He is the Most High, the Most Great."

Ma'a Salamah

Bukhari Vol 7, Book 71,Number 644:
Whenever Allah's Apostle went to bed, he used to recite Surat-Al-Ikhlas, Surah-Al-Falaq and Surat-An-Nas and then blow on his plams and pass them over his face and those parts of his body that his hands could reach, when he fell ill he would have Aisha do this for him..

This is Sunnah......

Yes, I do. Not only before going to bed or sleep but also when I get out of home. Its one of the most precious asset of mine I must say.

Barak Allahu Fiik for reminding us, sister.
Also I suggest that we all read the last two Ayahs of Sura' Al-Baqara'.

May Allah S.W.T protect us all from evil.
May Allah S.W.T guide us all.
