dissapeared? All it is now is endless shopping sprees for whoever can get the most crap for their kids and an endless goldmine for retailers every year end. Christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, not raiding department stores to put millions of dollars into greedy corporations that only use Christmas to get richer. Who agrees?

Just a little warning before traditional gift giving time.

**Well the crooks have found a way to rob you of your gift card balance.

If you buy Gift Cards from a display rack that has various store
cards you may become a victim of theft. Crooks are now jotting down
the card numbers in the store and then wait a few days and call to
see how much of a balance THEY have on the card. Once they find the
card is "activated", and then they go online and start shopping.
You may want to purchase your card from a customer service person,
where they do not have the Gift Cards viewable to the public.**
Please share this with all your family and friends...

I need to write an 8 to 10 line seasonal metaphor poem like about the holidays or Christmas. It needs to have two or more metaphors. could you help me? any ideas?

Some ex. are The ones you love are presents.
The season is warm.
Peace is hope.
Love is the spirit.
Hearts are singing.
Christmas (or substitute another word) is a blessing.
Happiness is a smile.
Joy is laughter.
A smile is a pleasure.
Christmas is bright fireworks exploding inside of me.
My heart is a drum.
A smile is a warm feeling.
(I can't use any of these examples but i can tweak them so they are different)
please make it rhyme. the teacher said it has to rhyme

my poem only has to include two or more metaphors.
could you also tell me how i would divide my poem into like stanzas? like if i had 8 lines, i could do 4 lines and 4 lines or 2 lines 2 lines 2 lines 2 lines. or something else.
i would like it to be about just winter holidays. like christmas except not about christianity. THANKS!

I am going to a Christmas party and there will be a gift exchange. The people attending are males and females 16-18 years old. I need ideas for an original, cool gift. It must appeal to any person who gets it and ideally be $50.00 or under... However, I might consider spending more if the gift seems perfect. It would be really cool if I could spend $0.00 on a really cool gift! Any ideas are welcome!

Every year people lie to their small children about this red suited con-man called Santa. Why do we do it? Is he the god of Western Consumerism? Do we feel compelled to indoctrinate our children in the GREAT RED LIE to appease our own empty, hollow existences in the hope that our kids will be satisfied by sacrificing to the Red suited god-figure?

Every year I get together with my family for Christmas dinner. It used to be sooo much fun when we were little but it has lost its lustre. How can I make it more memorable and exciting? Any suggestions would be great!
