Day out in Dublin city centre in the last week before Christmas, nice and cold and a little bit wet with a big coat on.Seeing the decorations, shop displays, music, people everywhere buying presents then going for a late afternoon lunch and drink to recover before heading home in the dark with the smells and sounds all around.

Knowing that i will be seeing all my family over the christmas period and it being a happy joyful occasion.

The idea of snow on Christmas day would be an added bonus. I love the feeling when you get when you wake up on Christmas morning.

As a child, Christmas was the only time we got presents and sweeties, no birthday's, trips or pocket money. Now I see Christmas as Pressie day, yeah I know, but at least it's honest. I also sing happy birthday to Jesus just to show I'm not totally selfish.

I think for most people this side of the world the true meaning of Christmas has all but dissapeared, giving way to endless shopping sprees and who can get the most crap for their kids for Christmas. For me, though, it will always be about the birth of Jesus Christ.
