is christmas still considerd religious? but actually it has its begginings in pagan roots it was made so as to the convertion (forced or volentary) "A winter festival was traditionally the most popular festival of the year in many cultures. Reasons included less agricultural work needing to be done during the winter, as well as people expecting longer days and shorter nights after the winter solstice in the Northern Hemisphere.[1] In part, the Christmas celebration was created by the early Church in order to entice pagan Romans to convert to Christianity without losing their own winter celebrations.[2][3] Most of the most important gods in the religions of Ishtar and Mithra had their birthdays on December 25. Various traditions are considered to have been syncretised from various winter festivals. It is unknown exactly when or why December 25 became associated with Jesus' birth. The New Testament does not give a specific date.[4] Sextus Julius Africanus popularized the idea that Jesus was born on December 25 (thanks to wikipedia and so forth) so yea what you celebrate as the birth of Jesus of Nazareth is just another pagan holyday that the catholic church made up from other religions but as atheist celebrating it sure why not if it gets every one to act nicer for a day and as for celebrating Hanukka well let another 100 years pass and we just might lol

Sure, Christmas metamorphosed into a Christian festival in the middle ages, though some people still held on to a few of their pagan beliefs for many years. Today, it's a Christian festival.
But why shouldn't everyone enjoy the festivities and have a good time? Believers attend church, sing carols, give thanks for the birth of Christ - but nobody believes that Jesus was actually born on 25th December. So Christmas is not an anniversary so much as a joyful celebration.
Enjoy!

Christmas has become just another holiday to the non-Christian. Everyone is free to celebrate in whatever way they want. Is it about the egg nog, decorating the tree, and family dinners or about celebrating the birth of our savior Jesus ? He died for Asians too. If you are celebrating, you should ask yourself what you are celebrating and why. What do you believe and why?

I'm Asian. Should we celebrate Christmas? Well, that's up to the individual really. Just because one is not Christian doesn't mean one must not celebrate Christmas. Personally, I celebrate Christmas, just as I celebrate Diwali with my Indian friends. So, I think it's pretty much up to the individual.

Christmas has pretty much lost the whole religious thing to a commercial holiday anyway. Even christian children wouldnt be happy without their presents on Christmas day. Just celebrating the birth of Jesus isnt enough for them. They would feel ripped off.

As Chrsitmas falls near the year end and New Year is so close immediately after that, Christmas season has evolved into a celebration period for all and not exclusively for Christians. Each festival has a meaning behind it. We don't have to be in that religion to appreciate it or celebrate it. Appreciating and celebrating others festivals is a step closer to world peace. Season's Greetings to you.

Of course they should if they want to, we have lots of Asian families in our town who celebrate Christmas, how disappointing for the children to be told you can't celebrate Christmas because your Asian, that's cruel, we all have a right to celebrate what we want, regardless of belief or colour.

WHY NOT!??? Christmas is a MAN-MADE Holiday. True Christians do not celebrate it as a religious holiday. We celebrate Christ's Birth everyday not just one day a year that man has decided is his " Birthday "
I look at Dec. 25th as a day of giving gifts and being together with friends and family, having a big meal with loved ones I haven't seen for a while.
SEASON'S GREETING'S TO EVERYONE, AND YES,
THIS MEANS YOU!
P.S. THANK YOU BREAK DANCE, NOT HEARTS THAT WAS VERY NICE, 5 STARS TO YOU TOO.
