Every year I get together with my family for Christmas dinner. It used to be sooo much fun when we were little but it has lost its lustre. How can I make it more memorable and exciting? Any suggestions would be great!

My family loves to play the white elephant give exchange. I'm sure you know what a white elephant gift is, something from your house that you wrap up and bring to the party. Don't put who it is from on the gifts. Everyone who brought a gift then draws a number from 1-how ever many gifts there are from a bag. Person with #1 goes and gets a gift from the tree and opens it. Then person with #2 can either "steal" #1s gift or go pick a new one. My family has a blast with this. It's so much fun when a lot of people join in. Last year the "game" went on for an hour or more. We all have fun "stealing" the same few gifts back and forth.

it will never be as fun as it was when you were little--However, when you have children, it is almost as fun, because you relive the excitement of it all thru them. Life is always better thru the eyes of a child.
