Why do people write down everything they did and their kids did in the last year, print it out on holiday and paper and send it out to everyone they know? Do they really think people care that they got a new hot water heater? Why do they feel the need to tell us where they went everytime they got away for the weekend? Do I really need to know that they got their bathroom redone??

I really wish they would just spare me! Do you do this to people? Does anyone really find these interesting and/or appealing?

If you're stuck on what to get someone, think about what they like and what they are into. No one here but you knows these people. I sometimes wonder if maybe human interaction is nonexistant if people truly don't know what someone likes or is into, becasue that type of thing is basic knowledge.

How does it feel to celebrate Kwanzaa or Chanukah and whatever you may celebrate when most of the world is Catholic and celebrates Christmas. On the radio, you will hear mostly Christmas songs and no other holiday songs. Or on greeting cards, there will be a lot of Merry Christmas cards, but possibly no Happy Chanukah or Happy Kwanzaa.

I work on a barge line boat with a team of ten men,three of them will be new to the team, I know nothing about them name,age.size nothing.
I just want to get them a little something so thy don't feel left out when the other guys open there gift;s.

onces we are on the vessel we cant come off of it for 30 days so tickits to enevent is out.
we all live in defront state's so restarunt gift cards may not work.
No acohol is aloud on the vessel so some nice wine is all so out.

why in the world would anyone want to go see a movie so violent and just the opposite of what christmas is all about - love, peace, joy, giving, and don't forget the birthday of Christ. It must have been "in the stars" for this to happen to me. Every year, my family picks names for Christmas (because we have such a huge family & most of us aren't rich). I picked my nephew's girlfriend. To say the least, she is not my favourite person. They live with HIS mom (my sister). The girlfriend is a spoiled brat - doesn't work - etc., etc. About a month ago, my sister told me that my nephew told her that his girlfriend had been cheating on him with one guy for 2 years!! I feel like giving her a box full of charcoal....or any empty box.

I know I need to let my personal biases not get in the way and make nice during the holidays. Yet, I don't want to "go all out" on this girl who I barely can stand the sight of. Plus, I love my nephew (and I wish he would leave her) and don't want to turn him on me. What to do?

Ok I need some help on picking out a gift for my girlfriend of 1yr. So far all I have thought about are as follows:
* A York Terrier Puppy
*A tattoo that I promised I would get dedicated to her (its the impression of her lips)
*A pair of Pink Heart Shape Sapphire Earrings that match the ring I gave her our 1st Valentines
