the origianl word is in hebrew, so when it's translated both ways are acceptable, if they are pronounced correctly

Neither. The only real spelling is in the Hebrew alphabet, so there are many spelling that can be used in English, but none of them are "right"

The non-religious, English way of spelling it is with an H, while in Hebrew and the way religious people say it, it is Chanukka :)

I've been jewish for all my life. I have asked the question a MILLION times. Trust me!! You can spell it like 3 or 4 ways.

Either way is fine. The word is actually Hebrew so there is no "correct" english way to spell it.

Yes. The Hebrew letter is more like a "kh" sound. Think of the "ch" in the German "ach", not as in "chop". Rough H or soft K.

It's really with a C, but a lot of people cannot pronounce the "chh..", so they spell it and pronounce H. TECHNICALLY, it can be either because it's a word in ivrit (hebrew).

you can spell it allmost anyway but make sure to have 8 letters because the ways that it is written have 8 because of the eight days and eight candles thing
