My daughter and I saw this entire street of homes that were decorated from the fake snow covered grass, ferris wheels, all kinds of animals and big blow up things, tons & tons of lights, elves, santas, you name it, they had it on their lawns - I think it's rediculous- what do you think? how do we explain this to our kids if were trying to teach them what Christmas is really about?

Ok so my girlfriend and I have to gift-exchange with a couple we hang out with and we really dont have any clue what to get them. They are both 20 yrs. old, not married but living together. They both work at the same place we do and are pretty much into anything. The limit we agreed on is $50 but we are willing to spend a little more. We dont have much time left to order anything online so that only gives us departement stores and such. Any ideas?

Happy or sad, maybe a little bit of both? Please tell us your story or why. I get sad around the holidays because my mom was buried on Christmans Eve. Add that to no more "little" kids since mine is an adult makes my sad. Wish I could get the HAPPY back to "HAPPY HOLIDAYS".

We are playing a game this year where we pick 3 letters out of a hat and have to get a gift that have those three letters in it. only driver who will drop her off at the house so she won't have to walk home two blocks, which isn't much but he does it as a courteousy to her. plus he does fun things to make the kids laugh like barks at our dogs and they bark back and the kids laugh like they never saw it before day after day. last year we gave him nothing for christmas but for the end of the school year, i re-gifted a $25. Kmart card to him as a thank you. I plan to give a gift at the end of the year as well but WHAT SHOULD I GIVE FOR CHRISTMAS. he's in his 60s and we don't even know his name.

I'm getting an angel tree gift for a child in need at my church and I'm planning on a sweater as a practical gift - but most 10 year olds are probably not going to get as thrilled about that as something a little extra thrown in that is really cool that 10 year old girls really like and want these days.
