my dad asked my if this year if i wanted money(like the amount he would spend on gifts) or gifts, what would you want and why?

I would like to say money, but then again, presents are also cool, cause you get a surprise. You never know what you're gonna get.

My parents asked me this when I was much younger. I chose the money. Mainly because I could use it to buy what I wanted --I'd have more flexibility to do so, I mean. Gifts are okay, I guess. All in all, I've kind of grown out of Christmas; it's not my favorite holiday --too commericialized and stressful.

Well it depends on your age, if you are still a fairly young kid, go for the gifts, opening presents is always fun, but if you are a young adult the cash would probably be best.

I would ask him to wrap up a little bundle of money in a box! Then you get the best of both worlds!

money because then its a win-win situation, your dad doesn't have to get you a gift you don't want and you can get whatever you want with your money...YAY!
