Mom lives in assisted living 1500 miles away. I don't know what to send for Christmas

My husband's mother is 97, and will by 98 on the day after Christmas. Her favorite gift ever was a Furby. She was amazed by how it moved and talked. She has robes, slippers, fuzzy blankets...and no room for anything. (She lives in an assisted living center too.)
We've spent hundreds on every kind of gift, but the little toy amazed her.

The residents in Assisted Living that I visit like their favorite candies, pictures of the family, stamps, warm sweaters, lap blankets, CD player and CD's of big band music or musicians they used to love like Mantovani or Lawrence Welk, gift certificate to get their hair done or nails polished, their favorite flowers.

A nice pair of slippers
A housecoat or bathrobe
A nice sweatsuit or loungesuit
A new CD or video
A picture of your family in a nice frame
A recording of you telling her how much you love her and wishing her a Merry Christmas

Yourself...if it has been awhile since you`ve seen her, I bet she would like nothing better than to see you. If you have seen her recently, I think the photo album ideal was really nice, maybe that along with her favorite candies

Make her a collage of family pictures in a 16x20 frame. Use fewer and larger pictures and do not overlap them due to the weaker eyesight of the elderly. I am sure she will appreciate it. Maybe one of her children------------maybe one of her parents and siblings--------maybe one of her grandchildren..........not everybody together, that would be too much. Hope this helps.

what about one of those talking photo frames, she can hear your voice whenever she wants.

Does she have a dvd player? what about a subscription to Net Flix?
