Ok I need some help on picking out a gift for my girlfriend of 1yr. So far all I have thought about are as follows:
* A York Terrier Puppy
*A tattoo that I promised I would get dedicated to her (its the impression of her lips)
*A pair of Pink Heart Shape Sapphire Earrings that match the ring I gave her our 1st Valentines
that all I have...should it be one of those or any more ideas?

i think the earings are best. they represent you building on the relationship. the puppy isnt a good idea, and tatoos are very permanant. im not saying your relationship wont last, but who knows? it might, and then, that tatoo will be with you forever. yea, stick with the earings.

not the tattoo....wait till you are married for something like that. they did a lip tattoo on Miami Ink a few episodes ago and I am not sure if I liked it that much or not. Does she have really full lips? If not, it isn't so hot...

a puppy isn't the best option either. wait till you live together to buy her a puppy, unless you already do. if you do and you can take care of it together, no big deal then.

the pink earrings would be nice. does she wear the ring a lot? if not, why not? maybe it isn't her style.

how about perfume? a spa gift card? a massage for two maybe? chocolate covered strawberries from Harry and David? magazine subscription? over night stay at a bed and breakfast? diamond earrings? the heart necklace or bracelet from Tiffany's?

just a few other suggestions! hope you find the perfect gift...

what did you ask for from her??

Unless she specifically asked for the puppy, you probably shouldn't surprise her with it. Even if she wants one, she might want to pick it out. I would hold off on the tattoo a little longer. I like the earrings idea. I agree with whoever said it represents building the relationship since it matches the ring you already gave her.

The Earrings.
Don't get an engagement ring until you are sure you are ready.
The puppy, cute, but she would have to raise it, buy food etc.
A guy I was with when I was 15 gave me a pup for Christmas on Christmas Eve and then called me from my best friend's house the next day to dump me. I wouldn't give her a pup.
Tattoo would be permanently putting something on your body. I wouldn't do that unless you were DEFINITE that you would be with her forever, and no one knows the future.

I would personally go for the earrings.

All are great gifts.

A puppy might be a bit of a burden on her... I'd go with both the jewelry and the tattoo, if possible. Or just show her the tattoo design, if you haven't already. Good luck! <3

Go with the earrings. You can't take the puppy or the tattoo back!

I would go with the sapphire earrings...please don't get the tattoo until you're sure she's the one.

Diamonds are a girls best friend...but the Yorkie would be great too. How about a Pit Bull puppy, they are the best!
