Why is a grown man eating Ready Brek anyway? Am I a complete ****?

I work at a pretty laid back job where people are always joking around and having a great time. Recently though two of my co workers got into a fight and my one gay co worker was called a ****** mulitple times. although i wasn't involved in this particiluar fight i was in a similar fight a week before, and im also gay. Am i wrong to be offended? Also my boss knows about this and does nothing. What should i do?

Not to be racist or throw out stereotypes, but I went to see Stomp the Yard tonight and the audience was predominantly black. I could not even hear the movie because it was so loud in the theater. They ended up stopping the movie about 20 minutes in because a fight broke out. Obviously, there are loud whites, mexicans, asians, whatever else... but almost every time I've gone to see a "black movie" there have been very rude, loud people in the audience. I know the question sounds racist, but I'm honestly just wondering if it's a cultural thing or what... I'm not saying that I've never seen a movie and been interrupted by white people being rude or asian people being rude, but the large majority of the time it's been african americans that are standing up and cheering and yelling and just plain being rude. The question is not meant to offend and I apologize if it does... just curious that's all. Thanks

Proper manners seem to have left us forever. I help people every day and never hear these two words. It's almost as if people "expect" you to help them or are too busy with their own problems to say it. Believe me; silence does not express gratitude.

Do you rate them according to whether you agree or disagree with them, or whether they answered the question well or not?

If you give someone a bad rating because you simply disagree, why?

A good example would be a grocery store, how aggravating would it be if I continue to listen - it might even be more entertaining than the store music they put on. It can't be invading privacy since it's in a public place - no? I'm just curious on how people would react.

I am a 37 year old Dad, and want to bust a move that will make my kids think I took lessons from someone who is not white. Is it possible without drinking a six pack and also getting my kids wasted?

My wife went to a meeting of baseball parents, who are mostly strangers, when this older guy was suggesting that we sell something we get cheap since we can "jew them down." I don't believe he said it with malice but come on, how is it possible that people don't get how inappropriate that kind of speak is? I curious if anyone's heard of similar ignorance and what was your reaction?

I recently moved into an apartment on the 3rd floor, I have a 7 yr old, 4 yr old and 5 month old. Things were fine for about 3 months no problems, even through my baby's colicky period. Now however I cannot run my dishwasher, my washer/dryer, walk across my living room, take a shower, set my baby in her playpen or watch tv without my downstairs neighbor pounding the walls and ceiling so hard the whole apartment shakes. I understand that kids can be loud and I try desperately to keep my kids reasonably quiet. However from 9pm until 8am there is relatively no noise coming from my apartment. Am I supposed to walk on eggshells or is she just being unreasonable. FYI I have spoken to the manager who seems to side with me.

A coworker, I am marginally interested in having as a friend, sings ALOUD. I do not listen to music so I can concentrate on my work. I enjoy the quiet when everyone listens to music. Her singing bothers me. She already apologized for her 'bad habit' of singing ...I lied, said, it did not bother me. She is more mainstream in the office climate than I am. I am all work and she has more friends. I am vying for promotions. Thank you. Please tell me what you'd do.

I need to know something to say to somebody when something stupid happens, like "go live in a shoe" or something. Obviously, judging by my example, I have no idea what to say in such a situation. So please, post your favorite dismissive comments here so that I may learn them and become a master in the art of snappy comebacks.

Now, I'm also throwing a party for him and ordering food and stuff. He had a great Christmas, he got a car for his 16th birthday, so he doesn't need a car, and he generally has everything he could possibly want. I just want you to know where we're at before you suggest a general amount.
