Having more friends won't get you a promotion, getting along with co-workers can increase your chance however. Show your boss that you can handle her singing.
If you can't, then wear earplugs, or type an anonymous letter to your boss about your coworker's singing. It's better for them to tell her then you.
If you decide to confront her about her singing, then she may take offense, & depending on her personality type she'll either sing louder or more obnoxiously or she'll stop completely. If the latter is true, the absence of her vocal stylings may allow you to work efficiently, but you may be plagued with guilt & can't concentrate anyways.
If I were in your position I would ignore it & hope someone else will take care of it. If her singing is a nuisance, then somebody eventually will.

I see two approaches:
1. She apparently knows that she sings, but it's possible she doesn't realize just how much, and how bothersome it could be. So you could approach her and say, "Hey, I just wanted to let you know, I can hear you singing from my office." She may not realize that it has reached that far and may be so embarrassed that she cuts it out entirely. I knew that I sang sometimes, but didn't realize how often until a person with an office near mine took notice of when I wasn't singing that day.
2. You can discuss it with your boss and say that you find her singing distracting and it's hard to concentrate on your work. Your boss can then talk to her.

woman can particularly be difficult to paintings with sometimes. I easily have worked in an place of work atmosphere for a whilst and seen all varieties of conflict. i want to propose ignoring it - smiling, keeping your cool and minding your man or woman corporation. Confronting her is obviously unlikely to pass everywhere and may be making something worse. and that i've got self assurance like ultimately, you will exchange into boring to them, by way of fact they don't get a reaction. discover some people in the place of work who're your friends which you spot as pals and allies and paintings on those relationships - discover your man or woman team which you're gentle with. the different element that struck me right here exchange into your use of digital mail to come again to a determination the situation and communicate approximately her colleagues - end use of digital mail for disagreement in the present day. you're being given the chilly shoulder considering the undeniable fact that digital mail have been given forwarded alongside to the people you had pronounced. digital mail shouldn't in any respect be used in that way and might basically convey approximately greater drama. sturdy success! carry your head extreme, save doing all your activity and save smiling and issues gets greater useful!

I agree, if this is distracting you, say something. Tell her you think it's really nice that she's so happy that she sings at work, and that you're sorry that you find it distracting, but you do...and could she possibly maybe try and not do it.
I hum at work, I don't even know I'm doing it. Fortunately most people don't care, but if someone ever says it bothers them, I make an effort not to do it.

I would tell her to listen and please don't sing. I can't concentrate while you are singing. Why don't you save it for a try out on American Idol? Let her know you're serious about it getting in your way of work. I hate when someone does that. I really hate it.

I would have to tell her to please stop singing because I couldn't concentrate. If she says that she can't help it, then she shouldn't wear the headset. Simple.
If she is stroppy about it then tell a supervisor who is pretty cool and decent to get on with and ask them if they could "overhear" her singing and tell her to stop. You do not have to put up with this annoyance. God it would do my bloody head in!
