I love shaking people's hands, but I don't offer it to girls because I was told that it should be the girl who should offer the guy the shake between the two opposite sexes instead of the other way around. Girls, is it okay to you if the guys offer the handshake first?

at the desk where i am working even though i kindly reminded her that smoking was not allowed..

Her simple answer was "but you are not the police, are you?". My respond to that was "no, but i am bothered" which she immediately ignored and kept smoking..

How could I have stopped her without physically forcing the cigarette out of her hand and "accidently" rub it on her cheeck..

Most people believe that America is a land of opportunity, yet it is still unequal. When people say "unequal", they mean that everyone is not making the same amonut of money or that there are homeless people on the streets. Now would eveyone be living in a ccommunist society? History has shown us that communism does not work. How would you set up your government system, how would everyone be equal

I went to a diner to have lunch with a few friends the other day. I went to sit down in the booth, but because I'm pregnant and carrying quite large, I could not fit into the booth! The diner was crowded and all of the regular tables were taken - only the booths were left. How was I supposed to deal with this situation?

fast walker, and have trouble following anyone, least of all my date, however ive noticed some of my dates seem to want to walk in front of me, others behind me or to the side, and even others to the left or right. far be it from me to complicate something simple, but ive actually found myself stutter stepping because of the confusing body language, and im probably the one with the confusing body language. Should i walk naturally and let her walk wherever the heck she wants to, or is it more natural to let the woman precede the man?

If you're a naturally quiet person, why do people always have to comment on it?

Why do they have to always say, "She's so quiet!" or "She's too quiet!"

How are you supposed to respond to that?

I was curious about something. I've noticed this, and am A bit concerned. I see a lot where some black people can call eachother the "N" word, and it's cool. However, white people say something like "What's up my "N", and some black people become extremely offended. Lots of the people who become offended are always like , Well, I just want us all to be equal. However, if they want to be equal, why is it that they don't mind other black people doing it, but they do mind us doing it? That doesn't sound very equal to me. Sounds a bit hypocritical? Anyone have anything on this?

I was looking at the threads the ther day. I noticed someone asked why black women have such bad attitudes. Yesterday I asked my friend (who is black) what he thought about that question that I saw on here.
Surprisingly enough, he got upset about it. I don't like when people get upset about stuff like that. I am a pretty free minded guy, and I always like a good white joke, if you have one. SO< my question is, whats the problem?

The invention of the cell phone definitely has it's advantages, but some people abuse it's convenience. Cell phones going off in movie theaters, during tests, at funerals, etc... Then there are the people that use it like a leash. They give significant others cell phones, and constantly want to know what the other person is doing. Since they know the other person has a cell phone on them, it's impossible to ignore their calls without them becoming offended. That's why I refuse to carry one anymore. Even though it could come in very handy in an emergency, it's worth gambling my life not to put up with the hassle from inconsiderate callers. If they ever found out that I had a cell phone, they would want the number. Everyone wanted to be an exception to the rule that I don't give my cell phone number out to anybody. Is your opinion of cell phones similar to mine ?
