Have any of the rest of you heard of this campaign?
I hope that it's true. I am out to find out more about it!

We all carry our mobile phones with names & numbers stored in its memory but nobody, other than ourselves, knows which of these numbers belong to our closest family or friends.

If we were to be involved in an accident or were taken ill, the people attending us would have our mobile phone but wouldn't know who to call. Yes, there are hundreds of numbers stored but which one is the contact person in case of an emergency? Hence this " ICE" (In Case of Emergency) Campaign.

The concept of "ICE" is catching on quickly. It is a method of contact during emergency situations. As cell phones are carried by the majority of the population, all you n eed to do is store the number of a contact person or persons who s hould be contacted during emergency under the name "ICE" ( In Case Of Emergency).

the 20th century? "Hint" one giant leap For All Mankind. I'm very proud of my husband, he was one of a lead engineers on this project. Security was so tight he couldn't even tell anyone in the family what was going on, until the BIG day. he is so modest, never talks about his role.

Ok people, we've made it thru, work, children, the "change" and dealing with retirement issues. Now what's the best way to approach our passions when, the "flag" rests at half mast and there is still a yearnning to stoke the fires?

and answering questions on here and I heard the great Roy Orbison singing. I had to go sit down in the living room and hear it. He was singing "Crying." I just loved his music. He was not the most attractive man but wow, could he sing. I bet a lot of you are Orbison fans. What is your favorite or what are you favorites. I don't just have one. One of my favorites is "It's Over."

Mine seemed to "stop in their tracks" and embrace old age when they got into their 50's. They never seemed to want to try anything new from then on. They looked and acted "old", and scoffed at people who acted young. If they were here today, they'd tell me to "grow old gracefully", stop colouring my hair and start wearing a skirt instead of pants !

There is a net rumor circulating about the actions of Jane Fonda during the war. Although the true actions were reprehensible, the email makes it out to be much worse than it was.

Here is a link to the actual email with historical references to Fonda's real actions.

So what do you think. Should we "honor her" as one of "the 100 greatest women of the twentieth century."

As a USN veteran, I think not.

I like gymnastics and ice skating best, but also enjoy track/field and swimming.

I really liked the drama between Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan a few years ago.

specially those who are well off cause of pension, retirement money, social security..
why should they get discounts?
what good is it to keep more money for them in their pocket, i mean is not like they're gonna take it with them when they die..
shouldnt the poor be the ones with the discounts? (no matter how old)

I always hope that they are honest and not try to pull the wool over my eyes by charging too much and doing a bad job. You never know what you are going to get. I now just ask people in the neighborhood getting something done to find out if they liked their services/prices.
