I am talking about the monthly Social Security check.

I wish you all the luck in the world with that one.
I'm supposed to get mine the third Thursday of the month, and it has never happened. In fact, when the month starts on a Thursday, I don't even get it on the fourth.
It's ALWAYS the last Thursday of the month. I don't know why they didn't just say that in the first place.
They lie, lie, lie.

Social Security has their own system. They tell you, you don't tell them. For me survivors benefits were the 1st of the month. My old age social security is the 4th Wednesday. You just have to fit into their schedule and work your spending and budget around it. Self control with the check book helps a lot.

Changing the date of your SS will probably not change your budget. I don't think they will change it for you. Mine is the 4th Wed of the month--I had my bills changed to be due on the first instead of 5 days before I had cash again. Funny part was I set up the bills so they would be due on or around the first and they backed them up. Many of your bills will have a grace period if not write and tell them why you are paying when you are or call them.

No there is no way to change it. THey go out like clockwork to everybody. That why it an old joke, in the retail industry. Welfare, SS. Disability checks come out and everybody hits the stores, as they all have money again. Sorry but you will just have to learn to adjust, unless you have some savings or other income to back you up until your check arrives.

Social Security checks are on the 3rd day if the month. Supplement security income is the 1st. I am not clear what checks you are referring to

I get mine on the 3rd and my disabled widows ss. check on the 3rd Wed each month. I wanted both at the same time and they couldn't do that. They have a certain schedule so they don't have to try to get them all out at once.

To my understanding, they are mailed according to your birth date. Mine is the third Wednesday of the month, because my birth date is the 15th. I don't think you can change that. Sorry

I get my SS ck on the 3rd & widow's benefits on the 3rd Wednesday.
I don't think you can change it, because I asked about it once with the same problem you are encountering. They just told me to try to adjust.
So, I did.
