You're sitting in rush-hour traffic, waiting for the red light to change green, and the instant it does, the behemoth on your bumper starts honking.

Sorta makes you want to go even slower, doesn't it?

Sometimes when I answer and submit, the anser totally dissapears. Yet, I retype the same answer and submit it again and it works. And once I submitted an answer and it said thank you for reporting, but I didn't report anything, finally it popped back to the question and I got my answer submitted. Have any ideas, is this the works of a troll?

It's been so hot and dry here that nothing has grown. I've watered the potted plants and the tomato patch, but everything else seems to be in suspended animation.

Recent rains have got the yard looking shaggy for the first time in two months, so we'll have to neaten that, otherwise, there really hasn't been much to do.

We took a 3-hour trip in the spring, in a vintage five-car train, and we sat in the last car, which was not air conditioned, but you could open the window. It was great fun.

The same company is doing it again this fall for a Civil War re-enactment, but we'll pass. We've gotten hooked, though. We're looking for other day train trips, like the one in the Shenandoah Valley to see the fall foliage.

With 2008 not all that far away, I wondered who made 2007 New Year's resolutions and how you're doing. I resolved in 2005 not to make resolutions because I just end up disappointing myself. So I don't make resolutions, I just make changes every now and then. You?

Two old pensioners are taking a trip down memory lane by going back to the place where they first met.

Sitting at a café, the little old man says, "Remember the first time I met you over 50 years ago? We left this cafe, went round the corner behind the gas works, and I gave you one from behind."

"Why, yes, I remember it well, dear," replies the little old lady with a grin.

"Well, for old time's sake, let's go there again. and I'll give you one from behind."

The two pensioners pay their bill and leave the cafe. A young man sitting next to them has overheard the conversation and smiles to himself, thinking it would be quite amusing to see two old pensioners at it. He gets up and follows them. Sure enough, he sees the two pensioners near the gas works. The little old lady pulls off her knickers and lifts up her dress.

The old man pulls down his pants and grabs the lady's hips, and the little old lady reaches for the fence. Well, what follows is 40 minutes of the most athletic sex the man has ever seen. The little old man is banging away at the little old woman at a pace that can only be described as phenomenal. Limbs are flying everywhere, the movement is a blur, and they do not stop for a single second. Finally, they collapse and don't move for an hour.

Well, the man is stunned. Never in his life has he ever seen anything that equates to this -- not in the movies, not from his friends, not from his own experiences.

Reflecting on what he has just seen, he says to himself, "I have to know his secret. If only I could shag like that now, let alone in 50 years' time!"

The two old pensioners have by this time recovered and dressed themselves. Plucking up courage, the man approaches the pensioner.

He says, "Sir, in all my life I have never seen anybody shag like that, particularly at your age. What's your secret? Could you shag like that 50 years ago?"

The pensioner replies, "Son, 50 years ago, that ******* fence wasn't electrified

I've read so many terrible comments about nursing homes....are there no government checks on these facilities? I work in one here in Australia, and we are constantly under scrutiny. No home would be able to get away with the sort of thing I've read on this site. I can understand not wanting to end up in one.... loss of independence, lack of choices, etc, but the standards here are very strict and people are provided with good quality care. Any comments would be enlightening.

I have known a couple of children who did things like stab their best friend at age 3-4. When angry would yell and seem to tune out everyone. Get so mad they completely lost it. One I seriously thought would grow up to be danger. I did think he was frustrated because his parents did not seem to listen when he spoke. Now he is a 20 something slug. Plays video games doesn't do much but eat and sleep. He still gets angry but does not get violent. For two years he lived with my family. We listened and had him calm and talking and exhibiting self control. One of my daughters is his favorite person in the world. I think if he had been brought up different he would be different. I think he is product of his environment. Not all serial killer are...Are some born genetically predispoded to violent behavior. Opinions welcome.

Despite the incredible security surrounding Presiden Bush's visit to Sydney, a camera crew from one of the TV stations, got a black Caddilac, put the Canadian Flag on both sides of the car, had a black four wheel drive in front of the Caddie They dressed up one of the guys as Osama Bin Laden, and actually got past all the security almost to the venue.

I don't know what to say?!

I asked what time it was in your country, stae and city (if you want), meaning which city? I REALLY don't want young peoples addresses. When you don't know which towns are in which States in the USA, it's interesting.

And I always invite young people to answer questions because I think it is polite. That was a terrible assumption.

We did not learn about the USA in that much detail!

Do you know where a town called "Vereeniging" is in South Africa, without having to look it up and/or ask someone?

Did you have a Sparkstötting ? AKA a kick sled or kicker when you were a kid?

How about a bob sled? We used to race down this gully, around corners, it felt like we were as fast as the wind on our bob sled.

I noticed when my kids were little that some of their friends didnt like to be outside.

Now with the little guy and his even littler cousin you have to almost drag them outside. They want to spend all their time indoors parked in front of the TV or computer.

I remember when we were kids and our parents were yelling at us to come home to bed, and we were yelling "just a few more minutes".

The LAST thing we wanted to do was go indoors and quit playing outside - we wanted to sleep outside if our parents would let us, on the porch, in a tent, or where ever, just under th stars, with a sleeping bag.

I swear I dont know whats wrong with kids these days. So many of them look so unhealthy too, as if they've never SEEN sunshine and never breathed fresh air.

A 20 yr. government effort to restore the population of an endangered native trout in Colorado has made little progress because biologists have been stocking waterways with the wrong fish. A NEW STUDY SHOWS.

Just when you think you know it all, look what happens. The older I get the more I have to learn. It never ends.
